Problem Resolved, But Another Problem...
I have to commend Rick Menard on resolving a situation of over billing for services rendered. I truly didn't expect, but I would like to think a closer look at the bill for services rendered was responsible for the refund I received today and not my exposure on n49.ca to get his attention since all other attempts failed miserably . . . .
Which brings me to my next point. My review contained nothing scandalous or rude, nor did it contain polemic or invective remarks, it was simply a disposition of the facts and my claims. I find the original post has now mysteriously been removed even though I made it clear I would augment my comments based on Rick Menard's email assurances that he would personally make things right. What good then is an online review site if BAD reviews are removed at the behest of the reviewee? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a review? I am terribly disappointed that this review site would allow such censorship of a dissatisfied...

So, thanks Rick Menard for refunding two of four hours of billing to repair a pinhole leak in a copper pipe and replace ONE valve in the SAME pipe -- an entire morning of effort while I left for work thinking we were dealing with 90 minutes at most. You did the right thing! I'm not so sure about lobbying to get a complaint removed on a review forum -- perhaps this should just be called a 'compliment forum', and if so, what good is that, really? BC
