Very Poor Dog Grooming Service
About a year ago, I was looking for a new dog groomer, when the one I had at the Super Pet in Emerald Plaza on Merivale Road left the store. I made an appointment to bring the dog in, and I walked into the store one minute before the time of the appointment. That was the time on my cell phone.
Upon presenting myself at the counter, the groomer started in, and I quote, by saying "your late!" with attitude galore. I let that go by without comment, and she then asked me for the dogs proof of rabies shots. I forgot it at home, but said I could be back in less than 5 minutes with one, since it was on the table in my vestibule, and I live perhaps 500 yards from the store. She said that wouldn't do. At that point, I said to her that with her attitude, I wouldn't trust her with my dog, and I would take it up with the management later.
To their credit, the management took my complaint, and asked me to try their store at Hunt Club & Merivale Road next time. I did that, and encountered more problems. The first was that I HAD to pickup the dog immediately after they called me to say she was done, but they couldn't(or didn't) give me a time when she would be done. When I got the call, I RUSHED to the store to pick her up, and the quality of the cut was so poor, that my 5 year old niece could have done a better job with an electric lawn trimmer, while wearing a blindfold.
It took me 3 cuts at another QUALITY Dog groomer to correct this butcher job. Clearly they are using students to do this grooming, instead of licenced dog groomers.
I will NEVER take my dog near this chain of stores ever again. I sincerely wish that I could locate the groomer who used to be at the Super Pet Store at Emerald Plaza.
