Misleading
I test drove an F150 at Dixie Ford and was prepared to make a deal on the truck. Unfortunately it didn't have all the options I needed, so they said they would do a locate for me. I had to put $1000 down to show my commitment. At the time, they told me they would find me a new truck and I could check it out. They also reassured me that my money was fully refundable if I didn't like the truck they found. When they found a vehicle for me, I arrived at the scheduled time, and the truck wasn't ready. Furthermore, I wasn't thrilled with the colour or the extra long bed. A few back and forth jabs from the sales rep and I decided to part ways and just ask for my deposit back. The sales rep said "ok no problem". Then the sales manager said "no, you put a $1000 deposit down and you bought a truck - we found you a truck - no refunds". He said if I wanted to speak with someone else about it, I'd have to wait nearly a week because he was not in the office. I was duped into buying a truck I didn't want. I have a few choice words for the staff there - but I'll refrain because I want to keep this professional. Although they finally agreed to install the options I expected, I still felt like I went through a miserable experience. Never again!
