A friend sent me to this out of the way place
I was in Winnipeg to conduct a training course for staff
An old friend of theirs Nick who used to be involved as an owner at a Winnipeg institution Rae and Jerrie's that i always visit as a matter of course while in Winnipeg for their steak sandwich
I could not miss out at a second kick at the cat
I was glad i went
Not a steak sandwich yet Nick was very friendly - as if he had not seen me in years ( he had not)
Friendly inviting place, very nice - wow presentation on a Greek style hamburger with french fries
Hope the locals in Selkirk find about this place and Nick does well

I am an out of towner from Toronto
Recently my BMW starting stalling on a trip to the BC Sunshine Coast
The local BMW dealerships seemed clueless
A relative Carlos recommended Eagle Ridge GM - their service department it seemed fixed everything and they were auto service "geniuses"
That may be true
Yet it took a day off my ski trip to Whistler
Their regular customers got in and out while I waited
On top of that it seemed to take forever for BMW to send the parts over
Car seems to run fine now
the test will be the trip back to TO

Recently i had a training session in Winnipeg where i needed a long stay suite not far from downtown Winnipeg
This hotel worked out fine
It was close to downtown on the major Pembina Highway route but in a safe residential area
It worked out well
On top of that the restaurant was quite in the afternoon and Vlad let us work on a table in the corner area no trouble
I needed a spare laptop and the hotel had a spiffy real IBM that they loaned us for a couple of days no trouble
Good reliable fast wi fi wireless internet as well
