Maclin Ford. Do yourself a favor and...
This has been the worst experience i have ever had buying a new car. Maclin Ford was wonderful up front when we were in the process of buying the car but as soon as the back up camera broke everything went to pot. I have bought new products many times and always had the issuer stand by the warranty. NOT MACLIN. After negotiating a backup camera and the contract was signed the reneged on the deal. Maclin said there was no specific clause saying it has to be a ford camera! They installed a rearview camera first but because it was a aftermarket camera it did not have the microphone so our ford sync did not work. After arguing with them they finally switched the backup camera to a UGLY dash mount version(not what we negotiated but they said to bad)! They installed the camera upside down! Back to Maclin Ford! During the winter months here in canada it is cold and the cheap plastic bracket snapped, our back up camera was lying on the dash. We went back to Maclin were they said they would look into it and get back to us. Over a month passed and finally WE called, they said bring it down to get fixed. They told us there is no warranty on the camera THEY installed and that they could epoxy it. They covered black epoxy all over the camera and bracket which only held for an hour! Maclin said to bad and our 5 year extended bumper to bumper warranty does not cover that. If you want to buy a Ford there are plenty of other dealerships in Calgary that sell Ford vehicles and will honor their warranty and correct their mistakes. Please take this information and save yourself greif, stress and money! To top it all off Paul Lawrence, Graham and Miles(our salesman) acted like our best friends during the sale process but after the camera broke they would not even stop to say sorry or even a hi the multiple times i was in the waiting area.
