ABLE FINALLY PAID ME!
I got paid by Able Translations after I complained.
I agree with VITU and RIZVANTONY and I know how some of you feel.
After reading this webpage, I took actions immediately and I received my first cheque today.
Here's what I did:
1) I wrote to all the job posting websites to ask them not to post Able's job postings.
2) I wrote to all the Associations Able belongs to and complained about Able's malpractice and violation of ethical guidelines.
3) I filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labour since Able asked for my SIN and used Human Resources to hire me, and I am virtually an Employee.
4) I filed a comment with the Better Business Bureau.
5) I talked to a decision maker in a company who awards the contract to Able Translations.
6) I publish my reviews on the web and ripoffreport.com and Able came back with a rebuttal almost immediately.
7) I called the Law Society Referral Service and got to talk to a lawyer for free...

It was item 5) above that got me paid. The company called Able and talked to them and I got immediate response and apologies from Able.
So, to all of you who are still waiting for your cheques, do any or all of the above steps, and steps suggested by other Interpreters and above all, call up the companies that use Able and talk to the decision maker. No one can put a bigger pressure on Able than their customers.
I support VITU and will attend the rally. We need to come together as a group to end this malpractice and seek remedies for all those who have suffered.

Hello,
Can you please provide your full name so we can investigate further regarding your payment. Thanks.

Hello, Able enquiries - Can you please read takeaction's comment first - this person already got paid by doing all these 7 steps mentioned above and you are still asking his/her name for investigation - you are so blind in fixing the reputation of the company where you are just copy and pasting your answer and that's what you guys are doing from the last so many years with the hard working interpreters - just the false promises not the payment.
Able Enquiries perhaps you did not read the review properly in your eagerness to pay. The person said he GOT PAID AFTER taking so many actions.... So eager to pay, how about paying up all the people who are waiting.
Shame on Able Translation (Wilson & Annabelle)
