Ridiculously slow service
It's been said that this is the second busiest Tim's in all of Canada, and I can believe it. Service is ridiculously slow here. - It takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to even be served, and then another 5 minutes to get a bagel after you've ordered it!
What they need is a small satellite store in the bus depot across the street. Serve up simply coffee, hot chocolate and in the summer seasons, ice caps. That would no doubt ease up the insane line-ups here.
meh
I've been here a few times already, twice while stumbling home from the bar, drunk and hungry, and a few other times while sober. I strongly recommend you not bother with the pizzas because they'll end up tasting like cardboard, while the slices are 'meh'.
It's no better, or no worse than any other Pizza Pizza I've been to in London, Toronto or in Sudbury.
In other words, it's good enough if you're drunk. Sober, only if you're hungry and need a quick bite before a concert or to jump on a bus to get you away from the downtown area.
Too expensive
Now I don't mind paying extra for good food, especially pizza that's NOT made by some pimply faced 15-year-old who could care less about making the customer happy or not.
But Tony's has long since priced themselves out of the market. I can't justify $25+ for a large pizza. While it's good, I'd rather make my own at home or just go to Papa's for a large deluxe and get myself a six pack of Bud to wash it down with, and I'd probably still have some pocket change leftover.
Decent
I'll keep this short and simple. It's decent. Went here the odd time when I got sick of the other pizza place across from Fanshawe College, as well as when I worked at a packaging place down the street way back in 2002.
I doubt I'll ever go back because I'm rarely in that area, at least on foot.
What a dump!
To think that this place looks worse in person than it does in photos or on Google Streetview. It makes even the Richmond Motel in London look like a 5 star hotel in Manhattan.
Just stay away, you'll be glad you did.
Best pizza and panzerotti's in town
Hands down, the best pizza and panzerotti's in London. The large deluxe special is $13.50 and a large deluxe panz is about $10. You can't beat that.
Worst experience of my life!
Worst experience of my life. Teachers just don't care if you have a problem understanding something, or ask for help. If you try going to the administration staff, such as the so-called 'Dean of Students', she'll side with the teacher and probably cut you down as well. BTW, she's nothing but a glorified principal and an absolutely horrible person as well.
Westervelt is a business, nothing else. Take the money you'd spend here on an 'education' and use it to go to a real school. Nobody in whatever field of work you are going for takes this school seriously. The only reason anyone in the health care programs get jobs is because of a huge shortage in people coming from a public college like Fanshawe or Cambrian. If it comes down to a Westervelt (or any private school grad) or a student that attended Fanshawe, the latter will ALWAYS be top choice.
This school also silences (or tries to) any of it's critics. That's why it's...

This school also silences (or tries to) any of it's critics. That's why it's so hard to find anything negative about them online. Instead of trying to fix the problems and listen to angry customers, they just send them cease & desist orders. This also happens to anyone that even dares agree with those critics.
To any prospective student of Westervelt that reads this, please don't make the mistake I and many others have made. Take the time to enroll in a normal college. It may end up taking you twice as long, but in the end, you will be glad you did it.
Comments
I was a student there in 1997. Looks like nothing has changed. I graduated with honours from an IT course and had such a bad taste in my mouth I didn't even go to the graduation dinner. I found a job in my field 2 years later, but no thanks to westervelt......the only positive thing was our teacher, even if he was not qualified to teach the course.
I'll keep this simple. Peddler's is a great place to get hammered and listen to indie or local bands play. It's a pretty laid back environment, so no need to dress up as some douche bag like you would going to SRO or Ten, that nite club at the Ambassador Hotel.
