Our Ford F150 purchased at Freedom Ford
Purchasing the F150 was great two years ago, and I love the vehicle. We purchased it from the previous Freedom Ford ownership. When owning several other vehicles we purchased from Freedom Ford, our Navigation System came with updates in our Escapes, and as the cities grow, so you're not left out in a field, it was a great! However, since not being sent updates, I recently called Freedom Ford, now under new ownership, to find out what I needed to do to update the Navigation, as I was not sent updates by Ford as per previous vehicles, The service advisor said I would have to purchase them now. I would have to pay almost $300.00 (when you include the GST) to PURCHASE any updates. My new F150 DOES NOT COME with updates! So buyer beware, the service manager, who I canlled next, told me in no uncertain terms, it was my problem. I contacted FORD, you now have to pay for them atleast for the F150, as I am not certain if it is updated for free for other vehicles. I can buy a Garmin and get free updates for life for free, and it is much less. Hmmm. Is there something wrong with free updates Freedom Ford/Ford? I was very happy with the previous owners and staff and we dealt with them for over 25 years, but will now look for a new place for service and a vehicle, perhaps like where most of the old Freedom Ford staff has moved.
