2016 wedding
Feedback on our July 2016 wedding.
To start, we really did love dealing directly with Mario through our entire process. You were professional, honest, caring, quick to respond with any requests/questions we had and always had our best interest in mind. We cannot thank you enough for all of your help and it made the process enjoyable.
The wedding day
Walking into the hall was amazing, everything was perfect! The guests loved the antipasto bar, cocktails, and servers. We had a ton of compliments on the antipasto bar and bread which was great to hear!
First course (pasta and risotto)
-everyone raved about the risotto! It was an absolute hit with everyone in the room. This was the same for the penne alla vodka for the most part but the sauce did taste as though the onions did burn in the pan while it was being made.
Second course (filet mignon and lobster tail)
Again, the steak and lobster were cooked to perfection! Everything was seasoned well, warm, and served nicely. We were very happy with this course.
Dessert
A great array of choices for people to choose from. All in all, they were good.
Issues
Our big complaints is due to any dietary restrictions/allergies we noted at each table. These were clearly marked for your staff and we had the following:
1)people receiving food they were allergic to,
2)people only getting potatoes and roasted vegetables and not the vegetarian alternative,
3)not get their ordered food at all(one was over 25 minutes)
Overall, this really made put a damper on the event considering these people gave generous gifts and didn't even get a complete meal.
Second, we would like to quickly talk about the days before the wedding. When we came in and saw the linens for the first time, we had a mini freak out. I do understand that you were not in charge of the linens, but George was fine to put linen with pen all over it on the tables. Again, I understand that this is not your responsibility but a quick call would have made it easier to resolve instead of finding out the day of.
Again, only a minor detail but we were really put back by some of the comments George made during our last couple visits. It was contradicting, arrogant, and rude in some cases and it made dealing with him a hassle. I know this may sound petty/trivial but I do believe that this can sour or prevent people from using the Royalton to host their wedding and events.
I would highly recommend the hall to anyone looking to get married. The food is amazing and staff are great. The above feedback items need to be discussed with the staff before to avoid any expectation shifts and issues later on.
