Frustrating experience
I purchased a stacking Washer Dryer combo, and it has been a miserable experience.
On purchase, i was not informed that the dryer didn't not include an exhaust hose.
When the installers arrived, (after complaining about the size of my laundry room) they noticed that there was no exhaust hose but installed the stacking kit anyways(locking the dryer on top of the washer).
About an hour after the install, i noticed the floor was wet! I struggled to get in behind this 500 lb obstacle to shut off the taps. I live in an apartment building, so flooding is a major concern.
I called Teppermans Customer Care, after being directed to do so by my salesperson who said that they would speak to the installers to call me back.
I heard back 4 hours later.
The installers arrived back at my apartment about an hour later after that call without notifying me, looked at the setup and notified me that my taps were leaking. This is obviously my responsibility, but walking away from a leaky tap as an appliance installer is not something that should happen either.
I had to call in a plumber to fix the taps and undo everything the installers did. Moving the washer and dryer so much naturally scuffed them up quite a bit, so my week old washer and dryer look pretty rough.
I went back into the store, with the knowledge that i could return items 7 days after the purchase. I was not intending to cause a scene, but to just inform a manager of my miserable experience.
She listened quite attentively, apologized and offered some form of reimbursement for my aggravation.
I heard back from her today, which is conveniently over the 7 day deadline, that they are offering me a $50 gift certificate.
I spent more than that on the install, which had to be undone. I also purchased a extended warranty, which i am unsure about them even caring about fulfilling, if issues with a new install takes 5 hours to get a response.
I will never purchase from your company again. Mistakes happen, but customer service is about effort, not necessarily about results. No one put the effort in, so I will not be back.
