Don't buy the stairs nosing or...
I bought the preverco hardwood floor along with the stairs nosing, thinking that products from the same manufacturer should match. There is a big discrepancies in the thickness. All we were told is to adjust to make it work. It is a tongue and groove fitting. There is so much discrepancies that if we adjust the thickness, we would lost the tongue and groove fitting mechanism, or it is very thin on one side that it would crack easily.
Very disappointed. Still trying to figure what to do with all the nosing waiting to be installed. Contacted the local Preverco rep. , not helpful at all.
After talking to the company and the local sales rep. , they claims that the stairs nosing, transitions.... were made to fit every brand of hardwood floor. They are not suppose to fit even their own company's products !
I was mislead by the local store that it would fit better, otherwise I won't have spend the extra money for the inferior products.
It was a totally waste of money. Cannot understand why they charge so much more for a inferior product. It is way cheaper to buy them local for the fitting and stain them.
Be aware and don't buy any accessories at all !!!
