We went to Don's Photo at 845 Dakota Street Winnipeg to get my child's passport photo as I expected professional photo service there. It turned out to be a really bad passport photo experience. A female staff member there demanded payment up front and I paid. She took a quick picture of my child without showing the picture to me before printing. While we were in the washroom, she packaged everything without showing us the final product and told me not to open the photos for 10 minutes. When I looked at the picture, I was not satisfied with the quality. However, they refused to re-take, and the staff member rolled her eyes implying that I was a picky customer.
The only bright side of this experience is that it forced me to go to another photo place at Costco. They took a much better picture with better quality and they captured a good neutral expression of my child at half of the price. I will never go back to Don's Photo. With the bad experience at Don's Photo, I really appreciated the higher level of customer service and the product at Costco.
