Dissapointing!
My wedding preparations prior to the actual date went smoothly. Joseph and his staff were accommodating and quite professional. We reserved both rooms, and were supposed to have about 300 people when we booked initially (a year before the set date). Came close to our wedding date our numbers decreased but we already signed a contract for that many so we tried to talk to Joseph and staff about decreasing the people amount however they did not agree to that but did give us a small compensation in price. That did not bother me and I was okay with that knowing it was our own miscalculations. This first part is just to let you know we were not looking to "save" money following what happened during the reception and after! Before the wedding we wanted the small room to be set up for our receiving line. We were told that we would have a door man at the door letting people know where they go, and we talked to Jennifer about how we want the room to be set up. However when we got there at 5:30 to be exact, and the entire receiving room was set up completely different than what we spoke about. As guests started to pile up, they had no idea where to go, there was no door man (I had to get one of the groomsmen to stand at the door to direct people) and my bridal party started moving tables to arrange the room. They actually needed more tables because there was not enough. We were also told Jennifer would be our main point of person that day however we got another guy whom we never met before who was new at this facility. All in all the whole receiving room was in disarray and this is not what I paid for nor what I expected to endure during my wedding. It was important for us to stand at the beginning of the receiving line, but because everything was hectic and unorganized that we were greeting guests at the door so they would know where to go! The bar staff was great and overall servers were good, if you consider the fact that the first table (most important people) by the head table got served last, and they waited 20 minutes more than other guests to receive their food! Also the sweets that we brought for the sweet table, some did not get brought out out and some are never to be found! Also one of my decorative boxes/baskets (for receiving tables) was never retrieved and no one at the hall knows where it is, and they were the ones to clear the receiving tables! I would not given a 0.5 out of 5 stars if it was not for the lack of professionalism and correspondence after the wedding. We came to Joseph with all our concerns (with final payment in hand) and he told us he would definitely look into this and even pull out video footage so he and myself can review everything that happened...its been 2 months now and no response! I guess they received their final payment and now they do not care. It is sad how the process started and how it ended. I am not looking for a hand out, but for what we paid for that small room for the receiving line was a disaster!!!! The least they could have done is follow up, but like I said the wedding is done, and so is their communication. Very very disappointing!
p.s. Just to mention that our cousins got married at the same hall and they had their sweets missing as well, but still put a blind eye to it and recommended this facility anyways, thinking missing sweets is the worst that can happen. Guess not.
