The previous reviewer is absolutely right. This horrible place offers bad to mediocre food at higher than average prices.
Only because it;s fresh
This is the best buffet only because it's fresh not because of it's decor or pricing.

I've not been to the Mandarin in London but I have been to the one at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto and the St Catharines location. Both have exceptional customer service and plenty of fresh buffet items.
Jannifer, although I agree with your comment on the service & fresh buffet items, I still think that they are a bit pricy for people who eat in moderation.
The decor too is way overdue for an update. Check-out the carpets, cutlery the plate on your next vsit.

You are greeted by a filthy, dirty entrance & doorhandles.
They still serve genetically modified potatoes etc. & have no plans to offer naturally raised chicken.

I have to wonder what Swiss Chalet is thinking!
I've been to a few of their locations over the years and I can't believe how dirty their restaurants are! There is one at Bathurst and Eglinton that i used to order delivery from and the last time I actually went to the location I was so disgusted.. I haven't ordered from them since.

Most of the food items are good but decor & price? Nothing to write home about. so it gets an average rating from us.
Not good
The only thing new about this place may be the owner. Same old, run-down place with very dry, overcooked food, wilted salad & clueless carvers.
For a couple of bucks more you can eat at Mandarin. It too is overpriced & in need of upgrading but at least the food is fresh.
You should only go to this place if this is your very first introduction to the Indian food.
These folks are far behind the rest of the country in terms of quality, taste & pricing.
