Unprofessional technician
Scott was hired by the owner of the house I was renting to check the furnace & gas fireplace after they had been tagged by Fortis Gas. Scott did not work on fireplaces. He attempted to solve the problem with the furnace, but was unable to do so. Scott then informed the landlord that he had worked at a condo I had lived in 2 years before, with the same problem. Scott had been called out before, but for a completely unrelated plumbing problem in the bathroom. Scott proceeded to "warn" my landlord that I was a problem tenant. The two jobs had nothing to do with each other. It was not Scott's business to warn anyone about me. There was nothing to be warned about. It was extremely unprofessional of him. He was hired to do a job, not to gossip about the customers. I contacted the owner & service manager about this & was told that they agreed with me about Scott's unprofessional behavior, would talk to him, and apologized to me. I recently obtained a copy of the invoice for this job. To my great surprise, Scott had written the addresses of my previous homes at the top of the invoice. This was a complete invasion of my privacy, & once again, very unprofessional. When I contacted Jeff, the service manager, he had no explantion for this & could only apologize. I would warn anyone to NOT use Galaxy Plumbing & Heating, in particular, their technician Scott. When one hires a technician for a job, their responsibility is to come and do that job, not to gossip about the tenants. In this very expensive province, it is difficult to own a home, even for a professional person like myself. To be treated by this company as if I were a lesser person, because I am a renter, is completely unacceptable. If you value your privacy & want a technician who can actually fix what he is called out to do, I recommend that you do NOT use Galaxy Plumbing & Heating.
