Cancelled Appointment on me without...
I went for an appointment on a Monday evening, as the web site states they are open to 9pm. Monday evenings are the only nights I have free as a single mother so I was thrilled at the option of finding a hair salon open.
The stylist did a good job on my hair (even if she was complaining slightly about being the only one on that late and the hours that she was required to work at the salon in order to get better time slots and she told me about the working conditions but despite that) I happily booked my next appointment at reception when I was leaving.
The next appointment was to be in 6 weeks, however 4 weeks later I realized I had something booked, so I called reception and moved the appointment to a week later and everything was confirmed over the phone.
Then the afternoon of my appointment, I telephoned to confirm the time I was supposed to arrive at my Monday night hair appointment, and I was told they had no staff as they had sent them to a seminar or some excuse.
I asked why they had not bothered to contact me to inform me that the appointment had been cancelled by them and I was told they did call my cell, but couldn't connect.
I questioned this excuse as I have never had any issue with my cell phone - it is my only phone and very reliable. I said I was highly disappointed and asked if I could book for next Monday night then, and at that point I was told that the hair salon was no longer open on Monday evenings.
The receptionist asked if I could come on another day, and I informed her I could not and that I would be finding another salon.
Later the salon emailed me with my current "points" so I also informed them to stop contacting me as I will never be a client again.
The attitude of the woman on the phone was utterly disrespectful and she truly didn't care that I had been inconvenienced completely by their lack of communication.
They had my cell phone number, and my email - there was absolutely no excuse for cancelling my appointment without telling me in advance.
