I want to warn any potential customers of this Ottawa Garage and Auto Sales business.

After leaving my car at Rochester Auto Centre, 148 Rochester Street, in Ottawa, Ontario, to have an engine replaced in my Honda Accord. It was agreed upon by the business owner Joseph Vahidi (May not be his real name, he used a different spelling in Court than he gave me in person) that he would remove the damaged engine from my car and have the low mileage replacement motor, I purchased separately, installed in the car.

After having the used motor I purchased that ran perfectly, delivered to the shop, I anticipated an easy installation and no further problems with the used motor.

Shortly hereafter I received a notice in the mail saying my car had been ticketed and towed from a private lot next to the garages lot where I had last seen my car. I immediately went to Rochester Auto and enquired into why my car had been towed and why it was on his neighbors lot?

That was the end of all fair business practices with this company specifically Joseph Vahidi the owner.

He refused to answer any of my questions and he had not yet installed the used Honda Motor I had purchased into the car.

I contacted Police but to no avail, they told me it was a civil matter.

The city Parking Infraction ticket office gave me alot more information. They had towed about a dozen cars that day after the garage owner had parked them on his neighbors private property while he moved his cars around hogging space, I believe there was an ongoing dispute with the former land owner. Rochester Auto refused to pay the Parking Ticket or the Storage costs for the vehicle. He flatly and laughing at me refused to take any responsibility for his actions. Meanwhile my used motor was still inside his garage.

My only choice now because of the mounting costs, etc. was to go to small claims court and try to recoup my losses as well as my engine inside his garage.

As I knew I was right and I had trusted this business to take care of my property, I was terribly wrong to think that I would have the situation resolved in court.

The Rochester Auto owner, Joseph Vahidi, came to court and seemed like he didn't understand english as well as he did when I had met him, at least not in front of the Judge. He must have had a lot of experience in court because he began lying from the moment the case began.

I spent hours upon hours preparing for the case and had paperwork evidence, signed statements from the Parking Control Officers, and thought I would somehow get my losses recovered. That is not the case.

Joseph Vahidi, testified before a Judge and then he began to contradict all the evidence I had with me. He had no paperwork, no valid excuses and he convinced the Judge that all my evidence was of no value and the Judge dismissed the case. I was in shock. The Judge even asked him about the Honda Motor I had purchased separately, and he convinced the Judge he threw it in the garbage because it was of no value. The seriousness of his lies was quickly gone when he laughed at me as he left the Court House.

A lawyer who was present approached me outside and told me the Judge was dead wrong and I should have won my case completely and should have received punitive damages for the lies told by the defendant Joseph Vahidi(Rochester Auto). I fully agreed. I imagined this is where the Judge had his car repairs done at a discount.

Even though this particular Judge left a extremely sick foul taste in my mouth, I vowed to get justice. While I was at the Court House I found other civil case records of other victims who had sued Rochester Auto and had their case dismissed also, I copied their contact information so I could find out what happened to them with their case.

A woman I contacted gave me the same court scenario where the defendant acted stupid and like he didn't understand why he was being sued and that case was also dismissed. I guess he knew lying would work already when I sued him.

The other victim and I spent hours talking about the sickening injustice and how this garage had ripped us off. We decided on going to the Justice of the Peace at the Court House and telling our stories. We were both surprised that the Justice of the Peace agreed that the Judge was at fault in both our cases and that the evidence we showed him was good enough to have Joseph Vahidi charged officially with Perjury.

We were both very happy and looked forward to our day in court. We were both there when Joseph Vahidi was called before a criminal Judge and had his charges of Perjury set to be heard. We both stood before the Judge and stated we were the witnesses for the charges. Joseph Vahidi was livid, swearing at me under his breath as he left the Court.

The woman and I left court that day, looking forward to testifying, which was very shortlived when the female victim received a call from the cities Crown Attorney telling her he would not be pursuing the charges of Perjury any further. She argued as to why not, but was never given a valid excuse, but was left with another foul taste because it just seemed like this particular Crown Attorney just wasn't interested in spending his time prosecuting a Perjury charge. She was so disgusted at this revelation she gave up all hope of ever recovering her losses or even seeing the garage owner accountable.

The Justice of the Peace who had laid the initial Perjury charges was shocked when I went and told him that the Crown Attorney refused to finish and reluctantly, I gave up myself, since I didn't have money to throw away on a private prosecution. Crooked Justice.

I would be happy to testify to any of these facts should another victim come forward. This is a crooked garage, who has an owner who has been charged with Perjury, unfortunately not convicted because of a Crown Attorney I believe was lazy or not interested. But I believe my testimony will easily throw light on the fact that this guy will lie in court after he has already ripped you off.

Since I first posted my complaint I have been contacted by other Victims of Joseph Vahidi in droves. He also uses 2 other names that I know of; Golem Resaj, and Golem Reza Vahidi.

The owner of Rochester Auto has testified in many other Court Cases. He submitted Incorporated Business numbers to the Judge that are NON-EXISTENT and subsequently when Sheriffs Deputies were unable to seize his property to pay a debt from another trial because of the falsified Incorporation Numbers not matching his actual business numbers on the legal documents, he delayed the process for months, missing several hearings and swearing to his absence with Falsified Medical Documents. When he realized he would be arrested again, he suddenly paid that victim to stop the process and avoid being jailed for the contempt charges. (He knows the Judges refuse to follow the Law for Contempt if a Plaintiff has been paid).

Many of Rochester Autos victims don't want to waste there time in court with such a devious defendant. One Plaintiff had been contacted by his companies Security team after Joseph Vahidi, claiming to be a fellow employee, went in person to the companies offices and made several false allegations of theft supposedly committed by this Plaintiff. Mr. Vahidi's story was unbelievable to the Security officers since it turned out he was not an employee of the company and Security staff wondered why an office worker would have so much grease under his finger-nails. The judge in that case suggested another Civil suit for harassment, but this plaintiff did not want any more of his time wasted. The few who do stand up for their rights are so disillusioned by the Court Sytem and its' Judges that they usually give up. The best advice you can get from these facts is to 'Shop Carefully', 'Do Some Research' and get 'Every Word in Writing'.
