I have been taking my son for the Minecraft workshops from 2019. I have to mention that my son can be very challenging in social setting but from the first day till now, Farah, a Jake's House staff, not only made us feel so comfortable but made us feel part of Jake's House family.

She has always been so warm, calm and very informative. My son loves to talk to her and actually last weekend, now when there is no workshop due to the pandemic, he was looking out for Farah and wanted to go to the workshop. What can I say, it brings tears to my eyes to see the dedication of Jake's House.

Thank you so much Jake's House for loving our children unconditionally and thank you Farah.

I love the amazing Christmas party that Jakes house has for so many other beautiful children and there sibligs and family. I have felt always so welcomed, everyone there understands if your child acts out, or does not act like a typically developing child, we are one big family, we all live a very familiar, sometimes very challanging life with one or more of our children with a diagnosis of a type of autism. Sometimes u feel u are the only family going through this, then you discover there are many others as well, and we all understand and there is so much love and patience for all our children. Thank you Jakes House for allowing us to feel so comfortable and making our kids feel so happy and welcomed. Roberta McNabb

I have been doing some work for Jake's House last year and the project was 1 day late. One day too late for THE amazing xmass event when Jake's House wanted to announce their new facelift and redesign of their site to the whole crowd (just about thousand of people)

It was unfortunate sequence of events that I coudn't deliver the project to the exact date but i felt terrible so I decided to somehow make up for it by coming to this event and bringing the biggest plush teddybear I could possibly find (or carry ;-). I did find one and it was the softest cutest biggest thing ever, it was hard to part with.

I brought it to the event hall and I coudn't believe my eyes. They had 9 bouncing castles, running kids and teenagers everywhere, beautiful stage ready for Santa and for the games and entertainment, millions of presents wraped under the tree and around the stage, tables with refreshment, music playing, decor was amazing, cheers and smiles on everyone's faces, a true spirit of holidays.

It touched me and tears came to my eyes when i heard that the teddybear was given to a little girl who fel asleep in his arms. Not much needs to be added to that.

Jakes house and its team of dedicated people (most of them volunteers) have done outstanding job and kicked off the holiday season with one unforgetable party.

This is who we are. Jakes House is a registered charitable organization founded in 2002 by David and Irene Bodanis. Jake, their son, was diagnosed with autism in 1995. Through much hard work, compassion and kindness of friends such as Dennis Flynn, the first Chair, Jake’s House was born.

“The “cure” for autism lies no further away than your family and friends” – The Founder

Anyone who has ever cared for another human being will immediately understand why we founded Jakes House for children diagnosed with the condition of autism. We truly believe that our greatest joys in life come through every day experiences with our family and friends.

At first, you might think a diagnosis of autism ends your childs chance to share in lifes many traditional experiences……rest assured, nothing could be further from the truth. Caring and compassion cure any and all of lifes challenges, we simply must continue to try and find where your childs happiness exists….. it is our mission to help you get there…..together.

Autism is a big challenge, but certainly not one we should fear….. We understand as Jakes parents, that all children with autism will face obstacles. We also understand that there will be moments when those obstacles presented to your child will overwhelm you, as it does us, to this day.
