Born and raised in New York City, Karen began her yoga studies while working as a registered nurse. A yoga practitioner for over 15 years, she’s been a yoga instructor since 2008. She is certified in Hatha Yoga by Integral Yoga Institute in New York; in Therapeutic Yoga by Cheri Clampett; and in Yoga for Arthritis (by Dr. Steffany Moonaz). Karen also attended the Integrative Medicine Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center which has certified her in Reiki Therapy.
