The reception staff are very friendly and flexible to accommodate my schedule changes. The mechanic, Mark, who inspected my car was very informative and patient when explaining the damage and how they propose to fix it. He also offered to test whether my taillight actually needs replacement, and no other auto body shop did. When he saw a dent that could be relatively easily fixed, they fixed it right on the spot without charging anything.
I had hit a deer on a country road on December 22nd of 2011. I sent my car to Carstar in Kitchener. After not hearing from them AT ALL I was told 2 weeks later they were claiming bankruptcy and my car was being transferred to Waterloo Carstar. It has now been 3 weeks in the Waterloo shop and still no word on when my car will be finished. I am now out of rental coverage from my insurance, and as I use my car for work, I cannot afford to go without my car. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism from Carstar as a franchise. If I had of known, I would have taken my car somewhere else. Lets just hope it gets finished soon and I won't have to send it back in because they weren't thorough with the repairs. I hope they waive the deductable because of the hassle I have been through.
