Marca College, Toronto Reviews (1)
I went to the Dufferin Mall location and got a facial from Nancy. Now, having taken aesthetics myself, I know a thing or two about how they should be done.
First of all, I would like to say a few nice things about her. She was nice, and the bed was well put together.
Now on to the negative:
- there were no robes for me to put on (they were all being washed)
- before she even started she said "now since we are doing the acne treatment, there will be no massage because we do not want to stimulate it more" ... but when I went to school we were taught to massage your clients arms or legs or feet while they are waiting with the mask on. But here, they just leave you alone in the room with NOTHING!!
- because she was out of the room she did not see me squirming because my eye was burning!! (she would have known that if she was in the room) ... what would have happened if I were the type of client that panics in a situation like that?? NOT professional!!!
- got cleanser in my eye
- When she put on the exfoliant and the vapour, she then proceeded to leave the room for ten minutes (which felt like 30 because I am alone wondering where she went) ... She could have stayed in the room and gave her client (ME) a scalp massage, hand massage, arm, leg, etc etc etc but instead chose to go do whatever it is that she was doing in another room
- then the leaving the room continued while my mask was on as well (so basically I spent the majority of my facial cold, and alone)
This was BY FAR, the WORST facial I have ever received!!! I did NOT feel relaxed or satisfied, even in the slightest!! HORRIBLE!!! If that were my school, I would have been watching the students a little more carefully and critiquing them on every facial. Once these students are in the real world, they will NEVER get repeat clients with service like that.
