Neftin Westlake Mazda & Volkswagen, Thousand Oaks Reviews (1)
I brought my car in for a coolant leak in October 2016. The service guy called me back later that day to tell me my car had 3 coolant leaks. He said I needed a water pump, coolant flange, and housing for thermostat. I gave my okay even though the price I was quoted was around $1,400. He called back later and said I needed another hose and now my total was over $1,800. My thought was well at least it will be fixed. I get the car home and realize they charged me $1,500 Labor!!! Only $400 was in actual parts! I noticed right away there was a leak. I assumed it was runoff from air conditioner. I then noticed my bumper was on crooked, my side marker lights were not put back and hanging under the car and my bumper trim was hanging! When I called he told me that the bumper wasn't on correctly in the first place and the trim was glued and they would not glue it back. All I know is the bumper was on tight and straight and no trim was hanging when I brought it in! A couple days later I noticed something was still leaking so I checked the coolant and it was almost empty! I had my car towed in to have them check as I just paid all that money to fix it. I got a call back and he told me I supposedly have another coolant leak in the heater core and that it would be another $1,800 to fix and that he really didn't recommend it because there were other steel pipes and hoses that would leak soon and it would be to much money. My car is a 2003 Passat . I was very upset and said No I can't do that. I went to pick up the car and they still hadn't fixed my bumper or trim, the side marker lights were still hanging and they never put the coolant back in! Then I noticed massive grease on the inside of my door on fabric. And a hissing sound coming from my tire because they ran over a screw on way out of garage. It was probably my reservoir screw that they left off. This place is a joke! They rip you off and I don't know if they even have professional mechanics working for them. I was told that if the car had a heater leak it would leak water inside the car. Which it hasn't . I think they didn't fix the first issue correctly and just made up the heater core story so they wouldn't have to do the work again or get fired. I have contacted the bureau of automotive repair and have filed a complaint. I just want people to beware of Neftin Volkswagon service.
