Braden Zandstra cleaned our windows and screens, interior and exterior. He was very professional, friendly, polite and hardworking. He did a great job, and kept our house clean. I would definitely hire him again.

The two individuals who came to do our work were outstanding. They were on time, worked very safely and took great care to avoid any damage to the garden beds. Cleaning the gutters was a particularly large and dirty task and they complied it efficiently with no mess left behind. I highly recommend Aurum

This company did not show up for 4 units for evestrough today after my husband took day off and we waited for 3 hours and moved furniture etc out the way. We arranged for all our neighbors and they didn't even have the courtesy to call and say they were running late or ask to reshedule. Horrible! What a waste!

I kept a flier from a man who came around my home and handed me a quote for exterior window and gutter cleaning. It was reasonable so I kept the flier until I was ready. Upon calling the number on the flier I was connected with an Aurum district manager for the vancouver branch. He was quick to tell me the quoted flier price was wrong and was now quoting me three times the amount, yet he himself never saw my place. The manager SG said I was quoted a price for bungalows on the flier but this didn't make sense as I allowed representative #46 to walk around my home.
The district manager was pushy to have me trust their service as he assured me he would also send out his two most experienced men and I would have a fantastic result. His over the phone quote of $340 and a quote for $290 was not the quote the rep from this company who visited last spring gave me. I was not comfortable with the pricing and the manager did not honour the 10% discount for first time customers like the flier also said. ( I have the flier) Squeaky clean windows is the sister company of Aurum gold standard that had come to my residence.

So ten days ago aurum's two men showed up and began setting up around 10:30 am. I arrived home at 10:40 am with my kids as they were setting up and stayed home the entire time they were here. I was polite and friendly to J and R, one who was on his cell phone a lot I noticed. One left their used tissue on my yard directly under my front window. Regardless, I wanted to show my appreciation for them being here and I gave them coffee and cookies. I periodically watched them from my various windows and not once did I see them use squeegees. There are water streak marks on the windows they did do.
Unfortunately I had my bedroom window open and due to water sort I had to clean up muddy water surrounding my inside window ledges. Surely this would not have occurred if they were up the ladder using squeegee to wipe clean the windows. But I forgot to close the windows so I take responsibility for that.

From 10:30- noon J and R were here doing gutters and windows for my three storey home. It's clear my basement level was not touched. I saved photos.
As they were leaving they did not come to tell me they were already finished so I went outside to grab them before they left to ask if they were finished? They said yes. I asked if they washed particular windows on the side as I could see they looked no different. They assured me all was done, gutters too.

I emailed the company right after J and S left, saying I was surprised they could do such a complete ( little did I realize) job in such a short time for what it usually takes people in this business.
As I looked over my windows and gutters I was appalled. They played me for a fool. The basement windows not cleaned, the side top floor windows not done, and each window that was, had and has streak marks! I took photos and sent them to Aurum. I suggested someone come out to see for themselves the quality of work done here.
I emailed back a second and third time as I noticed, the very next morning, that my aggregate patio had been scraped up with the little pebbles now loose and scattered. One of the workers damaged it and of course said nothing. It actually looks like the one worker simply stood high up on his ladder and tried to bounce or shuffle his way over instead of taking the time to climb down, life and move the ladder over, and then climb back up. I've had my patio inspected by aggregate and concrete slab layers.

For an over the phone gutter quote of $290 I expected I would have the exterior gutters cleaned and ALL of the gutters cleaned out. This wasn't the case either. I have since had quotes from other companies, that explains what a $300 range quote for gutter cleaning would entail for them.
The other companies have also given me quotes for window cleaning which come close to the flier quote I received initially.

To date, I have had two emails from Aurum saying my payment is late and therefore I will now be charged a late fee. I have had zero contact from the vancouver district manager who set this all up, no apology or attempt to remedy this, and only a couple of conversations with the customer service rep who says SG isn't in the office but will contact me. It has now been ten days. I've sent emails, photos, and have on more than once occasion in email, suggested and invited the district manager to come out and see for himself.

I haven't found Aurum listed with the Vancouver or Toronto BBB.

It leaves a sour taste when you out your trust in the hands of a company and sister company that vow exceptional service for a fair price. And then you are left with Windows looking worse and your personal property damaged. This company says they go above and beyond to clean not only the windows but the ledges and seals too. They show squeegee usage in their website too.

Civil litigation counsel and social media can go a long way to protect future home owners from companies that don't care about their clients. Fortunately most companies are reputable and seek to remedy any wrongdoing promptly. Further, it's rare to even have to take the steps of a complaint unless it's truly warranted. This is one of those times.

I'm not sure why I received this service as opposed to some of the great reviews I have read from others about you. It's doesn't make sense.

Gold Standard was amazing and left a lasting impression! My windows inside and out look fabulous!! I appreciated their quick response to my email inquiry as well as their ability to book my window cleaning service promptly! My technician Doug was great as well.

it seems they do not have a criteria to perform the work. they never made their promise.garbage cleaned from the gutter was thrown to my lawn, plant pots was overturned and no recovery, one of the roof tile was damaged but did not repaired, even worse, it was not reported! I can say they are the Worst Standard instead of Good Standard.

Gold Standard went above and beyond my expectations! My windows were spotlessly clean after they were done and the employees were friendly, punctual, and helpful. They looked for other problems with my windows and gave me advice on how to fix them, too! They kept me in the loop the entire time and when they were done, they showed me their work to make sure I was satisfied! Such a pleasant experience with GSPC and will definitely be hiring them again!

I’ve seen Gold Standard around my neighbourhood a lot, cleaning gutters, windows and carpets—according to what my wife told me. I hired them to do the same, as a test. I typically like to work with one company. The company I used to hire out recently went out of business and I don’t have time or patience to clean windows. Anyways, I hired them and they did a stunner of a job. They called and said they could alert when done and when I got back from work one day everything was done. No complaints here!

I recently moved to Caledon after buying a home. The property needed a lot of cleaning done so I contracted Gold Standard to help. They cleaned out the gutters and all the windows and did a really nice job of it. I took their business card when they left and will be using them again.

The salesperson who came to my home was polite and courteous. When I asked why his quote was the highest I have ever received he explained that wiping of all of the bottoms of the windows was included so I agreed to the service. The sales person also told me I didn't need to be home for the service to be completed and that if I wasn't home notification would be left on my front door that the service was provided. When I arrived home from work on my scheduled day there was no notice on my door that the work had been completed. I looked around and noticed that not one window ledge had been wiped. They were filthy. I figured they didn't come. 3 weeks later I got a call from the office requesting payment. When I explained that I felt they hadn't come or received an invoice I was told that the confirmation the day before was guaranteed they would come and they do not leave notice on your door if you are not home since they are paperless. So, why couldn't an email have been sent the evening of the completed work stating that the work had been completed and payment is due? This would alert the customer to check for deficiencies and quality of work (which wasn't great, otherwise I wouldn't have even questioned if the windows had been cleaned). The agent on the phone didn't care I had photos of 17 windows with not one ledge wiped since I didn't complain about it on the day of the service. I also paid extra for the rain x which I also don't feel was applied. My word of advice if you are hiring this company - be home when work is to be completed. Watch what they do and the moment they leave, if you aren't happy call immediately. Do not fall for the salesperson assuring you that its ok not to be home and that they will leave a notice on the door. This is simply untrue since they are paperless. If you are unhappy with the work you will have no recourse.

I was hesitant to hire Gold Standard as I’d read a lot of good reviews but also a couple negative. But, I heard they’re quick and I wanted my windows ASAP. I contacted them for a quote and they got back to me instantly. They came to clean and did the job well. The price they gave me was less than I was expecting.

The cleaning of windows and eaves through for my house were scheduled for Monday 5-th of June 2017 , from 12:00 -03:00. On Monday I was waiting for the cleaning team 3 hours and they didn't arrive. I called to the office and they promised to call me back shortly and inform what happened. They returned my call only 2 hours later to say that they were not able to reach their cleaning team on the phone! We have agreed to reschedule their services for Wednesday, June 7, again from 12:00 till 3:00 p.m. On Wednesday I was waiting at home more then 3 hours in vain, Gold Standard Property Care doesn't care about their customers, they didn't call me to inform what is going on and when I can expect their team to arrive!!!! I called dispatch department and they've promised to call me back. Guess what?! They didn't call me back! Their team didn't arrive! That is why the theme of this review is "The worst company to deal with!"

I’ve been dealing with Gold Standard for years now. Every spring they come to my residence and clean all my windows. They always, always do a great job. The quote they give me is middle of the road but is warranted by the service. I trust them to do a good job, and in all my years working with them they’ve never let me down. Great company.

I called Gold Standard to clean my chandelier. I usually get my husband or son to do that job but the first is getting older and the second has moved away! The men at Gold Standard came in, did a fantastic job and left promptly. Will hire them again in future.

I get my carpets cleaned once a year and the guy who usually does it retired. I hired Gold Standard to do the job and they did an amazing one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my carpets that clean. I will most certainly be using this company going forward.

Window cleaning was the last task we did this fall after a summer of outdoor reno. There was quite an accumulation of dust and dirt on the windows. I had difficulty wiping and cleaning off the stains and dirt myself.

I called Gold Standard for a quote and scheduled them for an appointment the following day. They came in on time for the appointment and did a very consistent, thorough job.

They did not clean all areas as per agreed. They left my house with damages. Near impossible to contact anyone at the number we were given. When they were re-scheduled for an early appt to come back to correct/fix the issues they sent a text that they would be there between 10am to 1pm - I called & at 3:50pm I finally got thru to someone who had no customer service skills what so ever. Yes, I'll admit I was upset when I called but he was just plain rude. Kept saying "Don't worry, we'll take of you".

Since they come out to our house - They spoke to my husband while he was at work, demanded payment right away. He said he would pay but he was at work and he would call them back at a suitable time. They then threatened my husband by saying that they would damage his credit rating. This weekend we called to issue payment but as usual no one answered so a message was left on their voicemail. We still have not heard back from them. The "invoice" we received was a piece of paper stuck in our door. We have now hired another contractor to fix the damage. They are threatening people, when you speak to them, they just yell and talk over you.
