TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. SHOWED UP LATE AND WITH ONLY 2 OF THE 3 REQUESTED PEOPLE. MOVERS HAD TO LEAVE AFTER 90 MIN. OF WORK AS THEY FIGURED THEY HADN' T PROPERLY TOOLS. AFTER COMING BACK THEY STILL DIDN' HAD THE RIGHT TOOLS. SO THEY HAD TO BORROW SOME OF MINE. THEY DAMAGED SOME OF THE HOUSEHOLD GOODS AS AGAIN THEY DIDN' T HAD A DOLLY TO MOVE THE HEAVY STUFF. THEY DISASSEMBLED SOME FURNITURES BUT THE SPECIAL SCREWS WERE GONE AND WASN' T TOLD WHERE THEY WERE PLACED.SO I HAD TO PURCHASE NEW ONES AS THEY NEVER WERE TO BE FOUND AGAIN. THERE LATER WAS CONFUSION ABOUT THE AMOUNT TO PAY. IT WAS WAY HIGHER THAN PREVIOUSLY WAS AGREED ON. WITH 3 MOVERS AS REQUESTED THE MOVE COULD HAVE BEEN DONE FASTER SO TIME AND MONEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED. WAS THREATENED ON THE PHONE, THAT MOVERS WOULDN' T LEAVE THE PREMISES UNTIL BILL WAS PAYED. SUDDENLY MOVERS WERE GONE WITHOUT A WORD AND RENTAL TRUCK (NOT THEIRS) WAS STILL ALMOST HALF LOADED WITH FURNITURES AND BOXES. HAD TO HURRY TO DO IT BY MYSELF IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO DROP RENTAL TRUCK BACK ON TIME. RIGHT AWAY UPON ARRIVAL IN WAYNES OFFICE TO CLARIFY THE SITUATION, I WAS TREATED LESS LIKE A CUSTOMER BUT MORE LIKE A CRIMINAL. HIS INTIMIDATION AND RIP OFF TACTICS DIDN' T WORKED OUT AND I ONLY PAYED WHAT WAS AGREED ON AND I CALCULATED ACCORDING HIS QUOTE
AND THE REAL TIME THE MOVERS ACTUALLY HAD BEEN AT THE PREMISES.
CAN' T RECOMMEND THIS MOVING COMPANY AT ALL. AGAIN TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNPREPARED AND RIP OFF TECHNICS ARE TRIED ALL THE TIME.

This firm was contracted, in a legal matter, to move and store my belongings. What they did instead was:
-Deny me access to my stored belongings.
-Deny me access on Saturdays even though they advertise the day as one for access.
-Held my belongings hostage because the fees had not been paid by the other party
-Wayne Kitchur, the owner of Riverbend, uttered threats to destroy my belongings if he was not paid by the lending institution.
-My belongings were paid for 90 days of storage on site but he decided to steal and dispose of my property before 90 days was up simply because he had needed to rent 3rd party storage containers for my job and now the time was up to send them back or pay more rental fees- so he chose to destroy my property.
-What few items he had left he chose to deliver to my storage but only after most items had been damaged beyond use or stolen. He denied even having but only delivered because it was cheaper for him.

I used riverbend movers when my husband and I decided to move. The gentlemen showed up on time and were very polite and professional. They got the job done rather quickly as well. I would definitely recommend riverbend movers to anyone looking for a moving company in winnipeg.
