I ordered a kitchen appliance set from them mid February, with an agreed upon delivery date of May 1st. I asked in advance if there will be any stock shortages or anything that may prevent me from receiving my order and I was assured that it will be set aside and delivered on time. Being foolish enough to trust a sub-par vendor like this, I sold my existing stove and fridge to make room for the new ones and started renovating my kitchen cabinets to put in a dishwasher that was part of the order. The items did not arrive on May 1st. In fact it took me calling nearly every 2 days for a month in order to get the items 1 by one, with me finally getting the stove on June 11th. Not the stove I ordered, mind you - that one was discontinued and they offered me a substitute that was more expensive as the "only available option" and still charged me $116 extra. And this is the short version of this story.
But even if you disregard this big chunk of text, here's your TLDR version:
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE OR THIS CHAIN, THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER
SUMMARY:
Fast Delivery = 6 weeks
Delivered product was DAMAGED.
BadBoy refuses to replace damaged product.
Likelihood of compensation is non-existent.
DETAILS:
Sep 21/20:
My oven broke. I went online and ordered a new oven.
I went with BadBoy because they were advertising fast delivery and they would remove my broken oven for $30, which I thought was reasonable.
Sep 24/20:
The charge had gone through on my credit card, but I still hadn't received an order confirmation and there were no reply to emails or telephone messages.
I sent another message telling BadBoy to CANCEL my order and physically travelled to my closest BadBoy store to ensure my order was cancelled. I was told "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". That they could give me a store discount, but I'd be responsible for a RESTOCKING fee. The people at the store put me in touch with Janequa on BadBoy's Customer Service team. Over the next week, Janequa and I had a number of conversations, but ultimately she was ineffective and nothing was resolved.
Oct 7/20:
I received a phone call from BadBoy asking me if November 9 would be a good day for delivery! - Yeah, that conversation didn't go well. And by this time, Janequa had stopped corresponding with me.
Oct 21/20:
I contacted my credit card company and PayPal to dispute the charges, but because BadBoy had offered to deliver the product on Nov 9/20 and because their terms and conditions state "all sales are final", neither organization was willing to help me dispute the charges.
Oct 24/20:
I contacted my lawyer to see what I could do about the situation. He advised we could go to SMALL CLAIMS COURT, but ultimately I'd end up spending more to fight the issue than to just take the new oven.
Oct 25/20:
BadBoy contacted me to say my oven was in stock and could be delivered that week. Resolved to the situation, I agreed to take delivery on Oct 30/20.
Oct 30/20:
2 gentlemen arrived on time to deliver my new oven. Neither of them could speak English very well, but we managed to communicate. The gentlemen swooped in to take away my broken oven, and then swooped in to install my new oven, plugging it in and putting it in place.
This is when I noticed a HUGE DENT on the front console of the brand new oven!!!
The gentlemen tried to tell me that as soon as the oven reached room temperature, the dent would correct itself! - WHAT?! Obviously they don't know about ultimate tensile strength and plastic deformation!!!
When the gentlemen asked me to sign for my delivery, I drew a picture of the new oven and the location of the damage. They were angry with me for doing this and told me they would get in trouble, because I wrote more on their work order than my signature!
I immediately took photographs of the damage and emailed them to BadBoy Customer Service.
Shortly thereafter, I received an automated message from BadBoy, asking me to take a survey regarding my delivery experience. At the end of the survey, there was an option to press 5 to speak to a Customer Service representative. When I pressed 5, the call FAILED TO TRANSFER due to "technical difficulties" and hung up on me!
A little while later, I was upstairs and looked out my bedroom window. I noticed that all of the packaging material for my new over was strewn about my front yard!!! I took pictures of this as well and sent them to BadBoy Customer Service.
Oct 31/20:
I received a response from BadBoy Customer service that said:
"If you have plugged in the product, we can only provide you with a damage allowance." - WHAT?! That was one of the first things the delivery man did! I wasn't given a choice! Are they trained to do this?!
"If you are looking for a replacement, you will need to call the manufacturer directly." - WHAT?! Seriously...?
I simply cannot believe that a CANADIAN company would operate with such POOR ETHICS. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I have no chance of getting my money back or getting an un-damaged product. I seriously doubt I will see a 'damage allowance". - But if this message prevents even one person from going through all of this unnecessary drama, then I'll have done a good deed.
These guys think they are clever in their practice of deception and dishonesty. Ryan assured us he would price match but insisted we come to the store. When we arrived, he tried to sell us half the inventory there before finally saying he made no such promise to price match.
Wasted our time. We will shop elsewhere. Idiots.
If I cared to waste more time, I would forward the invoice for all the appliances that will will buy elsewhere so that he can suffer in the knowledge that he f'd himself out of a sweet commission.
Buyer Beware. Watch out for these slimeballs.
We ordered on Feb 27 and requested to cancel just one day after and not yet picked up anything.
We now hold to disclose the details including story and names, and see how your store will solve the issue, then to consider the further proceedings.
Just a kind reminder - Nowadays the information speads so fast and broad beyond your imagination. Do not for a small bulks to ruin your business image and your personal reputation. Remember, there are many other channels to post or complain for consumer protection.
I would never shop from them again. Never!
Save yourself time and headache and go somewhere else!
So far I have sent 2 emails to both the head office and the Kennedy store with no response from either outlet. I called the Kennedy store and was told to call the delivery manager. When I finally contacted the delivery manager, I was told I would have to call the Kennedy store. I tried to contact the manager at the Kennedy store and was put on hold until I hung up the phone. It appears that I’m being sent in circles with no one willing to offer a solution.
If the company’s policy is to only offer free delivery to online customers, would I have been further ahead to go to the store, check out the merchandise, waste the salesperson’s time, and then order online?
Please don't purchase your furniture here. THey promise good products tellyou your warranty covers surface then you are refused service. GIven excuses! Makes you so frustrated and lied too. Please save yourself the grief and stress and go somewhere else! Zakora ( the warranty company) will not fix anything! Bad boys stands by these crooks which makes them twisted and cruel too! Please go somewhere else! They are only taking your money and not caring about you when you walk out that door!!!!!!!!
If you have money go buy from Somewhere else. These people are theifs.. Why should we give our hard earned money to these money stealing monsters

Multiple follow-ups and frustrating calls later, I finally had the "correct" headboard delivered at the end of May. I removed the packaging immediately to confirm it was correct. However, while installing the bed later that night I realized not only do the pieces not fit, but the headboard is missing a metal bracket to attach to the rest of the bed. By the way, there were no instructions either.
It then took weeks of daily calls to try and get this resolved. Each agent told me something different. They had to send a technician to my place (took a week to arrange), then he had to submit a report (took another week to be received) confirming what I had told them with the first phone call. The service system is awful - the wait time to speak with someone is ridiculously long (approx 20 minutes each time). I demanded a refund and the company refused to issue me one. I asked for my case to be escalated to the service manager (name is Renza) who did not return any of my calls or voicemails. In desperation I called the store, where the furniture manager had to intervene so I could get some traction. Renza finally called me back to deal with my issue after two weeks and repeated requests from the sales manager.
Now I have to wait ANOTHER 10 business days for the (hopefully) correct bed. Worst part of the experience? The fact that I had to constantly chase people until I finally got some traction. Not to mention the incompetence of getting something wrong twice. False promises over calling me back and every person I spoke with telling me something different. The only consistent thing was that nobody ever called me back. They treat you like a nuisance, not a customer. Somehow they manage to wipe their hands clean of any guilt, and refuse to give out refunds. I've heard of companies which take your money and don't deliver on their promise...they're called SCAMS. If you want to be treated like a valued customer DO NOT SHOP HERE. Save your money & sanity and just run in the opposite direction as fast as you can.
I'll be posting a follow up comment as to whether or not I was actually contacted.

Went into the store around noon on the 9th however it was not there yet. The lady at the desk said it was coming but after 3pm. I complained and she said she doesn't deal with online purchases so I'd have to call the head office to complain. Excuse me?
How am I supposed to know what time it will be coming unless the guy who called told me? It would've been better if I was informed that it will be ready on the 11th.
Very annoyed that my time was wasted and that I have to go back later (I'm 9 months pregnant.....)
Hope our dishwasher works well though.
