I was doing my research for the Dental Hygiene program and spoke to one of the Admission's representatives TINA PITTMAN. She is very rude and arrogant. On the first call conversation, she was so loud and disrespectful. How can they expect students to study here with the first conversation being so bossy and impolite? I haven't seen someone being that rude in my life. I am extremely disappointed to proceed with anything with this academy after speaking to that super discourteous woman.

This school and faculty make you work hard to be the best you can be. Iam proud of everything i did and i know im a better hygienist because the faculty made us work so hard. If you do something wrong you get a warning or you can fail your case but when that happened to me I learned not to do the same thing again and at the end I finished everything ahead of time because I listed to what they were saying.
Yes is very hard work but Im proud of my accomplishment.

Let me start off by saying, if you suffer from anxiety and/or depression, applying to this school will make it 1000000000 times worse. This school stressed me out so much to the point where I went from clear healthy skin to cystic acne, and I literally lost so much hair from stress. If a faculty member doesn’t like you, they will find reasons for you to get in trouble, resulting in “warnings” and where you have to write an essay with proper citation explaining what you learned from something complete stupid. things like your client not showing up, because as students wanting to thrive and learn we have to trust that random strangers will be dedicated to coming in for 3+ appointments. Some of the teachers here aren’t completely terrible, like Ms morrow who is an angel sent to give some students hope. But the rest were complete IDIOTS. The program director ms dhir is a heartless, cold and evil woman. Has no sympathy towards anything. You aren’t allowed to miss classes and if you do you need a valid dr note and can only miss a small number of classes. I can’t even put all my words into how much I hated this GARBAGE school and I wish I could have completed the program elsewhere. They don’t deserve anyone’s business and I highly recommend saving your money and taking the time to go to a regular college like George brown, because this place is fucking terrible.

I agree with the reviews that rate CADH as a 5-star school and that its the best dental hygiene school in Ontario. 100% pass rate 2 years in a row for students who wrote the board exam for the first time. It's a difficult program but all dental hygiene programs are difficult. If they weren't, everyone would be able to be a hygienist. If you're a good student and are willing to work hard for only 20 months and want the top quality education, then this is the school for you. If you're thinking you can just cruise through without some sweat and tears along the way you should stay away since the complainers spoil it for the rest of us.

The negative reviews are gross exaggerations. Yes some students don't pass to the next level but that's the same in every school. Yes faculty here are tough, but they really want students to be the best we can so they push us to do that. They are training us to be professionals after all not whingers who complain about everything. You get out of it what you put into it. If your having problems talk to faculty or administration. They will give you suggestions and work with you to find ways to help you out.

If your not willing to work hard, stay away. If you have got what it takes go to CADH

I am shocked that people would post such absolute garbage on the internet, it is clearly designed to punish the school for the students failure.
I guarantee you that 100% of the negative reviews on here are posted by "hacks" that could not "cut the mustard" at CADH.
Bottom line if you want an easy diploma go and take a course in basket weaving, the CADH course is fair, balanced and yes difficult, nothing I life that is worth while is easy.
The faculty are great, the admin staff are great and management is more than fair.
I can 100% say go to CADH, if you graduate you will enjoy the respect of the dental community as CADH is highly respected.

I felt job ready when I left school. My instructor was extremely patient educating us in both theory and practical. i have had employers compliment me on my clinical skills I had learned in class

Highly recommend this school!!!

I just read some of the negative reviews and just about barfed. They are not only exaggerated (i.e. "only 5-10 students out of a class of 35 progress to the next level". The is completely untrue. The majority of students make it to the next level), the negative reviews focus on how difficult the program is. Yes, it is difficult. This is one of the reasons CADH students have one of the highest board exam pass rates in Ontario - usually higher than George Brown. I know for a fact that instructors have more experience than the other dental hygiene schools in Ontario - this is another reason why the board exam results and job rates are so high for CADH students. I could say much more. In a nutshell, if you are willing to work hard and get the best dental hygiene education in Ontario, go to CADH.

This school needs to investigated!!! Instructors are rude and arrogant. They will have their few favorites and if you are not one of them then they will make your time at the school miserable. Be prepared to be picked on in clinic in front of your patients. Instructors do not even have the professionalism to take to students after clinic, not they they will tear you apart in front of your client. Clients do not want stay and commit, they cancel, or they just leave. The process for clients is way to long(too many visits and just sitting around waiting for nothing to be accomplished!) This school is not worth the tears, anxiety and stresses that it will create in your life. Way to many back door policies!! This school is out for your money and would rather see students have to repeat and get their money then have them be successful! In order to be successful in clinic you need to have DD3 clients, you spend endless hours finding these clients to have your faculty class them as a DD2C..........., this happened to me with a few clients......just one step below a DD3. So unmotivating and almost a feeling that they purposely again do not want to succeed! STAY STAY AWAY.....put your money into a more worthwhile school!

I am responding to the "peoples review" posted on August 11/16. To begin with, most of what you said was either a lie, exaggerated, or just a ridiculous comment in general. You probably don't realize that these lies about the school reflect badly on the graduates who successfully completed the program!!. I learned a lot at this school and felt well prepared to enter the workforce. I am working full time and enjoying my career. Obviously you are a person who doesn't take responsibility for your own failures. I had no problems passing the board exam and I'm not a foreign trained dentist or assistant. It is a complete lie that only 5-10 people move to the next level in a class of 35. Pretty much everyone does except for one or two people sometimes. Second, implying that the faculty are making advances at you is completely disgusting. You must be a total narcissist! Get over yourself! When I was accepted to the program, I was told that I am responsible for finding my own clients and that the school would assist me (which they did!) Finding patients with a lot of calculus required some effort but it seems that everyone did (and this is only addressing a few of the false comments that you made). CADH was a great school and I would feel very comfortable recommending it to anyone who is interested.

I hope CBC reads this because there needs to be an expose on the atrocities going on at this "school".
To anyone reading this thinking about applying, stop! Save your money, save your troubles and save your tears. There is eneugh anxiety and depression in the world and you dont need to lose your sanity to conform to this schools unreasonably high expectations. Although there are a multitude of reasons why not to apply here I'm going to focus on the main ones. Firstly there are 4 levels of clinic you need to pass in order to achieve your diploma. The first level is generally easy. The second you need to achieve 15 removals and amongst them you need to finish a client with a large amound of calculus buildup. Some of you may not see the problem with this but oh wait, the instructors get to decide if this client has eneugh calculus buildup. If youre thinking your uncle who hasnt had a cleaning in 10 years can be this client you're wrong. These clients teeth look like orange play-doh is stuck to their teeth between the gums. If you cannot find this client in level 2 your will have to repeat the semester. As a matter of fact if you are missing even one of your requirements you will have to repeat the semester. (That's another $8,000). Every tiny little requirement has to be finished in order to move forwards there are no ways around this. In level 3 if you are lucky eneugh to make it thus far you have to get 30 removals, including 3 of those clients with heavy calculus buildup. These clients have to show up to around 6-9 appointments for 2.5 hours. If they show up late which they almost certainly will, it will take more and more appointments. Clients have to pay for screenings and x-rays and if you advertise free cleaning you will get a warning from the school. (A warning is a type of punishment and you can get them from dressing inappropriately to breathing, you'll need to write an essay explaining how you learned from each warning including citations). The chances of you finding a unicorn are higher than those of you finding a client with a huge amount of calculus buildup. If your clients dont show up you get a warning and if this happens 5 times you get suspended from clinic for a week. The school is supposed to get you clients but they do not. They give you the numbers of certain people which never pick up or call back. You have to trust that complete strangers will show up to appointments on time. Sometimes clients will stop coming for no reason and youll have wasted 2 weeks of appointments on them. Instructors have favourites and if you happen to be a minority chances are not looking better for you. There are certain perverted staff members who will try to harrass you and once you decline their advances they will treat you worse then ever, making you look worse to the other instructors. Just to put things in prespective in a class of 35 students only 5-10 will move on to the next level. The coordinators will look you dead in the face and tell you that you failed and can repeat or drop out. If you drop out for financial or whatever reasons you cannot pick up where you left of you need to start from the beggining all over again.
I hope this helps you make an informed decision sincerely one fed up man.

I completely agree with everything this user has said. This school will literally make you want to kill yourself. Please save your time and money and go to a different school. They have ridiculous expectations that are impossible to meet. The faculty is just rude and careless. They think they rule the world and can do anything that comes to their mind. I don't even know why this is considered a "school".

THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL!! STUDENTS HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN CLIENTS AND THE SCHOOL DOESN'T HELP YOUU AT ALLL. THEY ARE HAPPY WHEN THEY SEE STUDENTS FAIL AND STRUGGLE. THEY THINK THEY ARE HELPING BUT THEY ONLY LIKE TO BULLY STUDENTS. STUDENTS ALWAYS COME HOME CRYING BECAUSE OF WHAT INSTRUCTORS SAYY. PLEASE GO TO A PUBLIC SCHOOL BECAUSE THIS SCHOOL WILL MAKE YOU MISERABLE. ONE INSTRUCTOR OUT OF EVERYONE WAS GREAT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! GRADUATING IS DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF THIS SCHOOL.
GOOD LUCK

If i could truly rate this school it would be -0. This school makes you wanna suffocate. The only way to pass in clinic is if the instructors like you. If you are currently a race other than caucasian from the mountains of caucuses i suggest you stay away from these racist little pricks. Instructor get a joy out of failing you and they smile as they are failing you. The school is terriblee. DONT DO IT! ANY SCHOOL IS BETTER!!!!

I never thought that I would be writing a review about anything but this place definitely deserves one. Coming to this school was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I totally agree with the negative comments about the school. It’s all about money and how they can fail you. the faculty have their favorites and if they don’t like you they give you a hard time and will find ways to fail you. They make up rules as they go along and change the curriculum when ever they feel like it. They want you to be professional but they are not a very good example themselves. Everything you do deserves a warning, they hand them out like candy. I was a good student who worked hard didn’t slack off and still had the worst time at this school. As a warning this is the worst school ever I don’t recommend it to anyone. The reason I’m saying this is because I read one or two negative reviews before I went to the school but I ignored them thinking they were just bad students, but I experienced for myself how bad the school is and now I am trying to warn you from spending your money here and being regretful.

I definitely agree with the negative posts on here. This school really is looking to get you to keep paying while you're in your program, even after you've paid your tuition. They tend to find the silliest and most ridiculous things to make you pay some more money and being a student who just wants to pass, you really won't have much of a choice. Their NDHCE pass rates aren't too high either. You can check online how CADH has a dramatically fluctuating passing rate for the board exam. Some teachers are extremely harsh while others were a bit more understanding. Attending the school has drained me in so many different ways and it was not something I was expecting. Ultimately I would not recommend this school to anyone who expects to have professional/respectable faculty or for anyone who wants a healthy learning environment. good luck.

This school is absolutely horrible. Not only is the curriculum over the top but also the teachers disrespect and expectations will become unbearable. They purposely make the curriculum extra hard and intense so they don't get shut down by the government for running a private school system. Most of the teachers/faculty are immature and bully students whenever they get the chance. I only liked one teacher at that school out of the entire faculty. They have ridiculous rules such as; having strikes for being late for class and getting a doctor's note for any missed classes or else you may not move onto the next level. They do not care if you fail or do not succeed!!!! If you do not succeed at a certain level you will have to pay $1000+ to redo the entire level in order to move on. Before I graduated their dental program my program was mainly filled with Dental Assistants and foreign dentist from other countries who are not eligible to work in Canada as a dentist. This was the same among the other graduated classes. That is why their score rates are so high, because majority of the students in their programs are already knowledgeable and qualified within the dental field!!! I wouldn't recommend this school even to my worst enemy. This school is nothing but money hungry and poorly run. Please save yourself the $$, stress and tears and go to a GOVERNMENT RUN SCHOOL.

I am not one to write online reviews for anything. However, I feel like I owe it to future students who plan on investing their hard earned money and valuable time at this school. First off, this private college is very money hungry. They will use everything in their power to fail you so you can repeat and pay more money. If you get sick or have kids that get sick, be prepared to provide a doctor's note for each day you're absent. If you do not provide the note, they will use this against you and try to hold you back from moving to the next level. If you do not complete your clinical competencies by the end of each semester, you will have to submit a letter/essay in hopes they will grant you additional remedial sessions. Mind you, each additional session is $190 and this do not guarantee your promotion to the next level. Some students have paid $2000+ for these remedial sessions. Most faculty are very knowledgeable in their field of study, however, be aware of the bullies. Some teachers will make you cry then watch you with a smile on their face. None of this information was disclosed during orientation and I wish I did my research before applying.

Hi everyone ... I just came across this review site and wanted you to know that I graduated from CADH last year and I am very happy with my education. Is it a hard program? Yes! But it is a hard program at every school. I have friends who graduated from other schools too like George Brown and Durham and their courses and clinics were brutal as well! It is definitely a hard program for all, but I found my teachers to be very helpful and just wanted me to be the best that I could be. Most of them were great and had a ton of experience and post-hygiene education like university degrees and masters. I am working full time and my "very picky dentist" seems to be very happy with my skill and knowledge. No regrets!!!

I loved attending CADH!! The faculty were amazing and always willing to help. I liked using digital x-rays and the facility is modern. There was definitely a lot of work involved but I have heard that is the same for all dental hygiene programs. I made really great friends there too!

This school was great! The teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful. It appears that the people who complain are typically the ones who didn't study much or follow rules and then blamed everyone else for their failures. I have a friend that went to one of the other schools in Ontario and they didn't get nearly the clinic time that we did.

I am a hard working student and this school was even a little over the top. Very interested in the money side of things, sad but true. I found the atmosphere very unwelcoming and most teachers focus a lot of the negative not often the positive. Its all about warnings and instilling fear into you. The clinical expectations are unrealistic unless you cut corners. Too much paper work, too many appointments to complete clients. Many teachers pick favorites, not in my case but it was very obviously with other students. Was probably the most stressfull 22 months of my life. There's better schools, I do not recommend CADH...

CADH was an amazing school to attend. I finished in the spring and got a job right away. My dentist says he has never had a new grad know so much and perform their duties so well and that my school must have been really good. The reviews below are wrong! Maybe these people didn't study or show up to class. The faculty is more than willing to help those that need and want to be helped.I say go to CADH. I am so glad i did. It has made all the difference in my life and I can't thank CADH enough!!!
