IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF READ THIS: Sooo I broke my Sony Xperia in November of 2015 and needed a new one. I decided to give Mobile Tech Xpress at 307 Merritt Street in St Catharines a try since it was fairly new and I like giving business to local independent businesses. I go in there and spend $250 on a used Sony M4 from a lady named Sarah Coffell. Shortly after purchasing, I began experiencing problems with the screen. It just shut off randomly one day and would not turn on. I brought it back and she plugged it into a charger and somehow she got it working. About a week later, the screen began acting up again. This time, it was so dark that I couldnu2019t see anything and the brightness could not be adjusted. At this point, I brought it in and they told me that they would order a new screen and I would have to wait. Which I did, I waited about two weeks and brought the phone in to have the screen replaced. From this point, they told me that it was not the screen but the motherboard in which they were going to fix and if they could not, then I may receive my money back. Another couple weeks passed and nothing. So I finally contacted them and was told that the phone was fried and could not be fixed. Then I simply requested the refund that I was promised so that I could buy a functioning phone elsewhere. At this point, Ms Coffell became extremely hostel with me, telling me that she has a no refund policy and that she would give me a google nexus in its place (which is a much older phone). I reminded her that she had told me that I could have a refund and she got very rude with me, hanging up on me, ignoring my calls, disregarding the things that I was saying to her by repeating I have a no refund policy over and over and telling me that I should be nice to her or else she will not give me anything at all. At this point, I got my father involved. My dad and I went into the store, where we came to an agreement that we would give them one final chance to fix the issue and if it could not be done, I would get my money back. We even got this in writing. A few more weeks passed and again, I was the one that had to contact them where they had told me that they were not going to give me my money back but they would give me another phone that is not only older but also had a crack on the screen. At this point, my dad tried calling them where Sarah told him that she would no longer be involved in the situation and that the u2018owneru2019 of the company (whom she would not even disclose his name or phone number) would contact him. Sure enough, 3 weeks later, he has not. These people have gone back on their word multiple times and are now forcing me to take legal action, not to mention I have been without a phone since November. My entire experience with them has been a complete disaster and I figured that I post this in order to save other people from having to go through the same thing.

The owner's name is David Day, there appears to be a situation that occurred this month for them where they got evicted by the landlord on Merritt street, they broke in and took all the stuff the landlord had locked them out of by changing the locks (assuming at this point they had missed a monthly rent payment or 2), that alone is breaking and entering as well as damage to property (the lock being picked), etc... Don't have his phone number so I cannot help you on that, but their Facebook page has some more inconvenienced customers who also got "rear-ended" by this whole series of events, last I remember reading about it is they moved to Georgetown, ON. There Facebook review page is https://www.facebook.com/mobiletechxpress/reviews
