I made an appointment through the service coordinator to have my car serviced as per a Toyota service bulletin. At the time the appointment was made, I fully explained my service needs and told the coordinator that I will meed a car because the work order requires the car to be in the shop for two to three days. When I showed up for the work to be done, there was a minor glitch but the assistant service manager said it would not be a problem because they could get the information from the other dealership. I handed over my keys and asked about the courtesy car to which the assistant service manager asked if I was good with a Towne and Country. I said no and it was then everything changed. Suddenly they couldn't do the work because they had a car already booked in for the same work. In addition, the service coordinator didn't reserve a car for me because she thought she was booking my car in for an inspection. This is an outright lie because at the time of booking I gave her all of the pertinent information over the phone as well as I emailed her a copy of the letter that was sent to me from Toyota Canada. The real story was that they could take my car buf if they did, the work would not be done within three days because they had another car in. Furthermore, Toyota would only cover the cost of the courtesy vehicle for a maximum of 3 days. The end result was that I would have to bring the car back the following week if I wanted to get the work done. After driving for 30 minutes in a snow storm to get to the appointment, I wasn't going to return to possible face further incompetence.

While the assistant service manager was cordial, I will never go back to this dealership. This whole situation could have been avoided had the service coordinator done her job!

I recently brought my Toyota Highlander for a simple oil change to CLARINGTON TOYOTA.
Boy, was I disappointed and in the end fuming.
When my car keys were returned to me I had an unexpected surprise - my rear view mirror was handed to me (ripped of the windshield with chunks of glass on it). The service person explained to me that they tried to adjust the rear view mirror and it fell of. Well, I guess anything could happen or though strange. I was told that it would be reported to Service Manager next day and dealt with. Next day I received a telephone call from a service person informing me that the windshield would have to be replaced and it would cost me $200.00 - yes, out of my pocket. I was furious and insisted to talk to the Manager. It only happened the next day. I was told by Service Manager that he would help me out (lucky me) and I would have to pay only half of the windshield price. When I insisted that it was their fault, I was told that in fact it was MY FAULT and he is doing me a favor by fixing it. To my question if I should contact Toyota Canada I was told it'll be a waste of time because each dealership is owned independently and Mr. Graham Miller (Service Manager) is the only person who could make a call and it's been made. Well, eventually I paid 50% of the installation cost of the windshield but would like to share my WORST EXPERIENCE with dealership that cost me money, time and brought a ton of disappointment. Needless to say, I will NEVER EVER GO BACK to CLARINGTON TOYOTA where customers are never right.
BEWARE. IT WILL COST YOU A LOT MORE THEN A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE TO FIX CAR PARTS BROKEN BY DEALERSHIP STAFF.
And by the way, the windshield that was put in has defects but I know it must have been my fault anyways so there is no point going back and trying to get it fixed - AGAIN. I will probably end up paying one more time. No, thanks.
