This dealerships only concern is that of money. Between the sales and service department's competence you can ensure your hard earned money will be spent without peace of mind. This establishment had falsely represented a used car in July of 2019, with stating it had $2600 of damage and 1 claim with extensive service records, a Carfax report with a different vehicles information was used to facilitate this sale, with the true Carfax report never been run on the vehicle. they had failed to disclose over $7000 damage done to this vehicle in 3 accidents, along with 0 service records. In addition to this misprinted information on the purchase agreement and credit agreements are apparent in terms of the vehicle I had traded in at the time of purchase. I had taken my vehicle in for service work mid December 2020 for an engine light, as this vehicle is under TDI warranty extended emissions coverage to have warranty work done ( replacing charge air cooler ), The vehicle was ready to pick up 2 days later, when picking up the vehicle items were hanging from underneath it, so I waited for them to properly repair the vehicle, because I refused the service departments suggestion that I could take it the way it was. I made it approx 100km of distance travelled when the vehicle failed on the highway. When brought back to the dealership it had taken two days to come back with over $6000 worth of work including a new turbocharger which would not be covered under warranty and further work that was never disclosed on the previous multipoint inspection dated 4 days prior. They had accused me of the turbocharger being tampered with and had Volkswagen Canada confirm this along with them. It had taken weeks of arguing with them until the sale issue was brought to light which resolved the service issue. The service department had inadequately repaired the warranty job and it was a damaged seal which was found to be the problem, or missing as what is stated on the repair order. The photograph they had sent into the dealership had a factory shield covering the wastegate actuator and they assumed it was missing a nut warranting trying to charge for a new Turbocharger. As a mechanic myself I have no idea why they would not have looked over their work first. In a meeting I had with both the service and general manager they could not come up with any satisfactory answers of how this could have occurred and just blaming it on human error. Both the dealership and previous manager had been charged recently by OMVIC regarding ethics, professionalism and accountability. While they had offered to pay for all rental and associated costs and purchase my vehicle back from me wholesale, I had refused it. This is not about money as it is about what’s right and wrong. While it’s too late for me to do anything about this, I hope anybody that had done any business with this establishment will look over their paperwork to ensure they had not fallen into another human error like this. I sincerely regret doing business with this establishment and hope nobody else will go through something like this.
Was driving by and stopped by the dealership was welcome by this wonderful sales consultant Melissa she was very helpful and very knowledgeable. She knew a lot about the vehicles on the lot and the options available.I recommend Melissa to anyone that comes to by a car here.
After sorting through all the construction confusion and finding the service bay I found the staff to be friendly.
They double checked my warranty for me and I said I had to be at work by a certain time and they were awesome and got the job done quickly!
I have nothing but good things to say about the service at Barrie Volkswagen. Hoping all goes well with the new addition!

Fantastic service
Honestly it wasn't good service.
When I first called your service centre, I was redirected to a call centre, which I was repeatedly put on hold or diconnected? When I did get through, I was told my service and oil change would take about an hour.
When I pulled in to your Barrie location. I was not greated by any staff, but rather watch your two employees handle a phone and the other didn't even acknowledge My existence.
I understand you are going through a renovation and you are short staff at that time. But the stressful environment is really starting to show on your employees.
When I was served, There was no knowledge of the details of my appointment. And told it would be a few hours because they were behind.
They offered me a shuttle but I live out of town and had to work that evening.
I waited for three hours for an oil change and 30,000km service.
After payment for my bill a was also not able to get an invoice for the service.
Being that this was its seconded service, for my car that is two years old it was disappointing. I hope you find this information useful. And make some improvements to this location in the future.

It was fairly quick, and painless
Jodi and the service team did an excellent job at repairing my car today. Shuttle service was great and staff was friendly. I would recommend to my friends that my experience with your dealership has always been excellent experience. Thank you for the great service!
Once again the service provided by the staff at VW Barrie was
great - the last visit on Saturday May 19 was not a scheduled
service - everyone was determined to find the cause of our break down
and get us back to driving.quickly without too much inconvience.

I appreciated that the 105 Km service was done quickly while I waited in the customer lounge. This is important to me as I live 35 minutes north of Barrie which is too far for the courtesy shuttle.
Professional, courteous, helpful, knew what they were, especially Jodi at reception, ran the shop and Shuttle driver Derek, cordial ,easy to talk to, enjoiedour conversations to and from my residence. Over all Very Good Experience.
Mechanic was thorough. Let me know about future repairs that may be needed
Excellent service team with Mark being an excellent first point of contact. Friendly, knowledgeable, basically everything you'd want in a first contact person. Make sure to keep him and keep him happy.
I was constantly waiting for service.; Waiting to get my car repaired(5 hours- quoted 3.5), waiting for people to come to the service desk, (5-10 minutes every time) waiting for my car to get washed (35 +minutes)

In the end the 2 service people and the technician figured out what went wrong. They would call me on "first thing" Monday and issue me a check for what I paid.
Unfortunately it is Monday at 1140.... no call. So disappointed with this location. Tighten up your customer service, please.

This was not a good experience. I am used to the superior service at Humberview Volkswagen and this fell far short. It was difficult to find the service location, there wasn't a valet to let me know where to go....the person at the desk asked me to go back to my parked car and drive it in - when it could easily have been done by someone else. The whole atmosphere was very chaotic and I almost walked out. On top of this, my windshield blade was not replaced, which I had requested. For whatever reason I was given a discount...thank you, but I will definitely really need to rethink coming back.

Good customer service. I brought my car in for service. Everything was explained to me and my car was had no further issues after the repairs were made.

Do not recommend this VW. Have had many problems with them. Including over charging, putting the wrong sized tires on, giving wrong information leading to $2700 bill. Tried calling numerous times to make an apt (before these problems) never got a call back until I went in. Drive your car to Maple or ANY WHERE ELSE!
They have the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. They were supposed to have my car for 3 - 4 days doing warranty paint, it is now going on a month.
They are VERY rude!!
