OK Tire

Went in for a simple tire rotation and balance, they over tightened our lug nuts and 2 of them sheared off, a 3rd stripped. The mechanic told us to take it somewhere and get it fixed - no charge for the work. Called around - only one we could see that day was dealer - who checked all the other lug nuts as well....when we tried to recoup the money from Barrington Tire it was an awful experience. Owner was rude, never once apologized and offered us $60. She finally agreed to pay us the difference between the work done by them (the rotation and balance) and the cost of the repair but we've also found out that the over tightening has warped the rotors on our car which means they all need to be replaced. She basically laughed at us when we told her that, and actually got angry at us for calling her and asking for money, told us it was safe to drive around on 4 lug nuts instead of 5 and didn't know why we were so upset. I will never recommend them and have told this story to many, many people.
