Our granite is sourced from quarries around the world, with each quarry producing a unique stone composition, pattern and colors. From these quarries, large blocks of granite are cut out of the earth using diamond studded cutting systems. The giant 2 ton blocks are then sliced into 3cm slabs. These slabs are then polished and sealed before being shipped to Pi Granite.In the shop, the templates are mapped out on the selected slab to maximize the beauty of the stone. Once they are marked out, the slab is cut into the pieces using a precision water cooled saw.After being cut out, the pieces are then edged by our state of the art CNC machine, and hand polished. Finishing the edge and polishing by hand achieves a high quality result that is not possible by machine. This hand finishing is just one of the things that set us apart from our competition.Once the granite is cut, edged and polished, the pieces are ready for transport to your home. Our skilled craftsmen then install the countertops, and other components, making sure that all the pieces fit exactly together. Your countertops are then sealed with a specially treated sealer. Once your countertops are fully installed, the only maintenance required is to reapply the sealer at intervals of 5-8 years.
