Careful Moving and Storage Inc

Following my recent experience with Adam (Dec.4/13), I cannot believe that this company would get above a 1 rating; they deserve a negative rating. The ratings posted here are from 2012. Do your homework, and you'll find that they have some pretty horrible reviews in 2013; many that are recent. Adam is an arrogant, individual that does not seem bothered by his atrocious actions. My sister, who is handicapped and suffering from a terminal illness, had arranged her moving day with Adam some time ago. He knew she was handicapped and that she required full moving services. Without her knowing, he contracted her move to A+ Movers who were late, did not finish the job, then threatened to leave with her furniture if she did not pay them $1800 cash. She was devastated. This was not the arrangement she had with Adam, nor was this the amount she was quoted. After more than one day of trying to reach Adam, he virtually didn't care and said her problems are with A+. I asked him if he felt good about ripping off a handicapped, terminally ill person...he said, "I didn't know she was terminally ill"...then went on to say that it wasn't his problem and has washed his hands of it. I threatened to report him for fraud, bullying, etc. His words, "go ahead, they won't do anything about it. The worst that will happen is that someone will talk to me." Adam does not care about the people he works for, his company reputation, or even his personal reputation. This is not a company that anyone should deal with.

The movers were prompt and friendly. They didn't damage a thing and were indeed careful. I especially liked the use of runners to keep the carpets clean.
However, they did not inform me that there was a minimum 4 hour charge. They knew it was a small move and the work only took 2 hours. I only found out when the work was done. This is unacceptable and will not use them again.

absolutely terrible from start...to the finish, 10 min later. the pair that showed up at our door were either on drugs or drunk and not a clue about how to move the 10 remaining items in our home. What should have been a quick and very simple transition (same city move) ended up being a total disaster. The truck didn't have a ramp or tail lift which was the # 1 reason that we hired a mover to begin with. Office staff were unprofessional and discourteous. We asked them to leave before they even got started.

We really didn't know anybody in Calgary before we made the move here because of my husband’s appointment. Luckily, somebody told us about a local movers called Careful Movers. They do long distance moving right across Canada and were able to get all our belongings from Vancouver to Calgary in no time at all. Maybe we will be using them again in two years time when we return to the West Coast!

We would recommend Careful Movers to anybody in Calgary wanting their stuff shifted. We have used them twice now and they are really professional about the way they go about moving your things. We were quite concerned the first time as we had expensive, fragile equipment that had to be moved. We were amazed how quick they were and so careful. We would definitely use them again.

I guess nobody looks forward to moving all their precious belongings. The worry about things going missing or being broken is always at the back of your mind. We used Careful Movers for a big move a couple of months ago and found it was a stress free experience. I wouldn't say we were completely relaxed, but Careful Movers were so efficient and friendly it was a lot easier than we expected.

I have just moved house and home from our old address to a new house on the East side of the city. I took quite a time to find a good moving company and was lucky to hit on Careful Movers. We found that Careful Movers provided a fantastic service when we had to have a load of equipment moved out to a shed we are renting on the outskirts of Calgary. The guys who turned up with the van were very cooperative and careful and the best thing was that they turned up right when they said they would, which meant no delays for us.

Our office shift went really well. We used some of our own staff to do some overtime during the weekend to do the packing up and got everything lined up for the movers to pick up at the beginning of the week. A truck arrived right on time from Careful Movers and they organised the delivery of everything that was destined for the new office. The whole move was so smooth we hardly missed a beat and are right back into the swing of things again.

My wife and I moved into our new house in Edmonton recently and used Careful Movers to do the moving from our old house for us. They had a lot of our belongings to move, and we were a little concerned how it was going to pan out. We needn't have worried because everything went like a dream. Nothing was broken or damaged and the move was fast and smooth.

We are going to the Middle East on a two year work contract and wanted to shift our most valuable personal belongings into storage here in Calgary while we are away and the house is rented out. We used Careful Movers to do the moving for us on a friend’s recommendation and they did a superb job. We are frankly amazed they moved all our stuff so quickly and with no fuss.

I would definitely use Careful Movers again if I had to some more moving. This company is a pleasure to deal with as they are prompt, efficient and, best of all, very economical. I think if you tried to hire a van yourself and do all the heaving and shoving it would work out more expensive than getting Careful Movers to do it for you!

Somebody told me about Careful Movers when I was looking around for a good moving company. We had some very expensive furniture we needed to move into our new apartment and didn’t want any damage. This company was very understanding about our paranoia and their movers team were very careful and efficient. I can’t thank them enough.

When my mum went to stay in the new care home, we had a lot of work to do clearing out all her things. A lot of them just wouldn't fit into her new room she was allocated, so we had to dispose of the rest at an auctioneers. Careful Movers did most of the heavy lifting and moving for us and I must say they did a really good job. They were right on time and no complaints at the price, either – it was easily the best we could find!

I am really thankful that my brother here in Calgary told us about Careful Movers, a Calgary based moving company. We moved house all the way from New Brunswick to be closer to my family and the company offered us a really good deal to do the move. I was a bit apprehensive that everything was going to turn up in one piece – but, it sure did, and in fact the whole move was no hassle at all.

If you ever have to move your personal or household belongings anywhere around Edmonton, then I suggest you give Careful Movers a call. They are a local moving company and are not one of those impersonal national companies you see advertised everywhere. The people who work for them are really friendly and they seem to know exactly what they are doing. I believe they do moves anywhere in the city and can move stuff long distance as well, if that is what you need.

We supply a lot of office furniture to businesses all around Calgary and find that contracting the delivery work out to Careful Movers is actually a good move economically. That means we concentrate on doing what we do best – providing top quality office furniture - and Careful Movers do what they do best – moving stuff around quickly and efficiently.

You would be lucky to find a better moving company anywhere in Calgary than Careful Movers. They really do provide a careful service and they are very competitively priced compared to other movers. They move just about anything and everything anywhere in Calgary itself and I think they do a long distance delivery service as well.

We have several warehouses in different parts of the city and regularly use Careful Movers, the moving company, to do most of the movement of goods from one warehouse to another. They are a great company to work with and have a very good reputation around town. We have used them for several years now and have no intention of changing who we work with.

I guess moving house must rate one of the most stressful experiences imaginable. We used a moving company called Careful Movers when we had to move house here in Edmonton and they took nearly all the stress out. The guys who came to do the measuring and moving were really neat and very professional. Some of our stuff is quite delicate but when the company had been told about it they were so careful!
