This is my 2nd time renting a storage unit here. This time to run my small business from. This is a great, cost efficient option if you don't have a garage to store in. My container was clean, secure and had fresh weather sealant inside on all the joints and edges. You want to check for weather proofing whenever you store items. This looked great. I've rented from other places as well but this is the best option for my business at the right price. I arrive first thing in the morning, load up what I need and go about my day. Perfect for the small contractor.
Well this was round 2 of using CHS, and all I can say is the C-cans are old, they leak, and all your stuff gets ruined. I have spent close to $10,000 in fees storing stuff there and I lost roughly $8000 worth of irreplaceable items due to MOLD, water damage and humidity damage from the leaky unit. Had to wear N95 mask cleaning out the unit unfortunately didn’t have a hazmat suit. Luckily they had a dump bin on site it now contains over half of my stuff that was in the leaky unit. Was basically told it was my fault for not informing them. Hard to do when you work 8000+ miles away for a year at a time . Hence needing a storage unit. Always get indoor storage for anything of value. Live and learn
