This is THE place to store things that are important to you. It is very clean and excellently maintained. The staff is competent and friendly. My expectations were greatly exceeded.

Facility is pretty clean and has good access. Don’t bother dealing with the GM, I’ve never met anyone so rude, no such thing as customer service with him. But the rest of the staff has been nice and helpful so that kept me around.

I was scrambling around trying figure out how I would down size both my brother and mom and move at the same time. I knew it was going to take time. I ended up using the unit for about a year and a half. I'm glad I did because it wouldn't of been possible otherwise. I unpacked everything and it is fresh just like I packed it on day one. This really helped me so much. I will use them again when I need it in the future. This place is so clean. Arron and Diane really care about setting you up so you can put your things away and, know they will be secured. It's one less thing to worry about.

I've been in to Access Mini Storage many times. I have always been treated with kindness and respect from their friendly staff. The facility is meticulously clean. Gregg is very easy to talk to and very accommodating to any of my needs. Thanks for a great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for any of my storage needs in the future.

I've been a customer twice.

Vedder Road location is a pleasure to deal with. Never any issues. I've always been treated with respect there, and found staff to be reasonable when dealing with any issues that arise.

Greg at the Storey Avenue location is an absolute nightmare. Condescending, patronizing, and difficult to reason with, he appears to be too busy power tripping over rules to actually rent out a unit . He's quickly alienating a former good customer trying to do return business. No customer loyalty whatsoever.

When I previously rented, I had one late payment in over two years of renting. I was charged a late fee. No complaints, understandable and reasonable. Unreasonable was a late fee of over 50% the monthly rental price on an invoice less than 30 days past due. $58 invoice, $31 late fee. It was negotiated down to a slightly more reasonable $15/~25%, but in the process I was treated like a deliquent by Greg, over one late payment after two years of being a customer without issue. I took my business away the following month purely on principal and downsized.

Now, I find myself needing storage again. I went to the Storey Avenue location at 5pm, and was told by Greg they don't sign up new rentals after 5pm. I said I was a previous customer and had my own lock, shouldn't be a big deal or take long. He reluctantly agreed to do it. I presented my passport as ID, which he didn't want to accept. Instead, he asked to see my broken driver's licence (it cracked along the top by the magnetic stripe and the top half is missing), asked for my DL number because it wasn't visible on the broken licence, and was prepared to accept that as ID... but not the passport, an officially recognized form of identification worldwide. I continue filling out the application, only to be told there's an additional issue regarding the type of credit card I have... the exact same card I used regularly to pay rent for 2 years prior on time and in full (save the one instance i mentioned above). He argued with me over details that could easily be proven if he could find the paper record of my previous rental... which he couldn't find, even though I only moved out within the last three months.

For all intents and purposes, it appears that the Storey Avenue location is looking for reasons to not rent out units, and/or deliberately attempting to push business away. It shouldn't be that difficult to do repeat business with a company you have a good history/good track record with, yet here I sit writing this review while trying to do repeat business unsuccessfully thus far.

I've otherwise had no problem with the staff or facilities. Safe and secure storage as promised and I like the anonymity of the locks they use. It's the biggest reason I'm attempting to do business with them again in spite of the issues with the Storey Avenue location.

If these issues were resolved, I'd give this business and facility a 4 star rating without hesitation. Thanks.
