We were first introduced to Troy Young Photography at the Wedding Expo in Edmonton and immediately their work stood out amongst many other photographers we had researched. At the expo we were given an information package and a DVD showcasing clips from past weddings. We took it home and viewed everything and were quite pleased/impressed with the packages available. When comparing the list of services to other photographers, there was no other photographer (that we could find) who even came close to offering the same services for the price we were given. We were even more impressed that even though we lived more than a 3 hour drive from where they are stationed- we weren't charged for travel!
For our wedding - we got 2 photographers (Troy and Aaron) for the full day plus a videographer (Angie – and she is actually also a make-up artist and helped us girls touch up our make-up all day- which was greatly appreciated!) Their professionalism and attention to detail was greatly appreciated as they really did capture the essence of the day. Between all the photos and video we were given 6 DVD’s worth of material which was awesome to have as the day goes by SO fast! It was nice to be able to pop in a DVD, cuddle on the couch and look back at everything—the footage definitely made us laugh hysterically but we also shed a few tears at the day’s events—what a great keepsake!
With saying that---I would recommend to EVERY bride out there to purchase a video package as there really is SO much going on that day that the video will catch- a lot of which you don’t see happen or have forgotten about, not to mention all the moments that should be caught on camera! (We would have never captured the dance that my father in law did on the way up to the podium as he welcomed me into the family! No one knew he had it in him but it was completely priceless especially as he lined up his own special music with the DJ! And, his speech had pretty much everyone crying they were laughing so hard….including us!)
All in all- we were thoroughly impressed with Troy Young Photography and the services they provided. Troy was absolutely amazing to deal with, we were blown away by Aaron’s talent, and Angie was such a HUGE help that entire day! Hiring them was definitely one of the best wedding decisions we made. We would highly recommend any couples to take a serious look at what this company can do for you to help you capture your day—you definitely won’t be disappointed! Lacey
