Arthur Murray Dance Ottawa

My name is Dave and I am a student here at Arthur Murray Ottawa and was with them for many years now.
This is truly the best ballroom/social dance studio ever as it offers everything you may possibly need in social life and they can make you a very good dancer if that's your desire!
I found this review from Samantha here that was very confusing to me.
I know the tuition fees for their programs and as a client they give you full control of how you use your lessons. So that's not true at all what Samantha is saying here. I have a friend who also comes here and only spends around 300 per month and takes enough lessons... They do have the reward program, however, for clients who uses at least 1 private lesson every week all the groups and parties pratcices are unlimited. So they must have offered that to her to be able to use more groups and parties. This was made very clear to me from the beginning and I'm happy and respectful to what they offer!
Highly recommend this studio, as there's no better one!

I was a student at Arthur Murray Dance Ottawa for awhile. It was a nice introduction to latin and Ballroom dance and I had some really good teachers but unfortunately it has gotten way too expensive to dance there. You used to be able to take a private every other week and attend as many group classes and practice parties as you could and this would cost me about $3500 for the year (I would get the 'deal' because I paid for everything up front). But now they insist that you take a private every week and use up your classes more quickly so instead of the price I was paying before it will cost me over $7000 a year now!!! No thank you! They also did not have an expiry on the verbal contract that I agreed to but now they do as well which does not work for me. I have better places to spend my money.

Because they dishonoured the contract I had signed with them and just changed to this new rule over night, two of the owners of the dance studio really ticked me off. Their focus was on getting more money from me as quickly as they could. I don't do business with companies like that. Espeically ones that do not honour a contract we sign and agree upon together. You change it for our next contract. They turned out to be untrustworthy to me. So just a warning that they might seduce you with some great intro special (I paid like $800) but that is only to try and lure you into the studio. There are MANY less expensive ways to learn dance in Ottawa and more opportunities are coming all the time so shop around!

My wife and I have lots and lots of fun in this lovely place! We would never go to any other studio to dance in Ottawa.
