Calgary Vending Services

Calgary Vending Services provided our office building with a compact refreshment center and it is a fantastic machine. The vending machine is small and has a great selection of drinks and snacks. These guys are very professional and I have never encountered an expired bar of bag of chips. Highly recommend these guys.

These guys are great to deal with, the product is never expired and the machines never break down like the company we used before. They have a pretty neat machine that carries both drinks and snacks and it is small compared to most other machines. I would recommend these guys.

By law employees get 2 15 min coffee breaks and a 1/2 hour lunch break. Naturally unless this is policed by the time they leave to go down to the main floor of the office building and came back the average break/lunch was taking 10-15 min longer than the "standard" time allotment. When I did the calculations on how much productivity was being lost in a given week I was a little disturbed.

If each of my 12 employees needed an extra 10 min travel time to go and get their lunch or snack for their breaks and lunch I was loosing 30 min per day per employee. This meant 6 hours per day lost productivity in total. So each week I was loosing 30 hours per day in productivity which was quite shocking. I found that unless I wanted to get employees to punch in and punch out each time they took a break I needed to come up with a way to keep them from having to leave the office.

Punching in and out was not an option because this kind of policing is a good way to kill moral which is even worse than extra long breaks. As a company owner I look for any way to get the most productivity from my staff. In order to do so one perk I decided to offer was providing a stocked fridge and cupboards that contained convenience foods. This kept my guys in the office longer during regular working hours because they did not need to leave to get coffee break snacks or some lunches.

I began to find the bi weekly trip to costco or superstore a time consuming task and one that I could not always find time to look after. My employees really appreciated having the snacks in the office and came to count on them. When I could not make a shopping trip when the cupboards were bare they were inconvenienced. The program was a success so I wanted to keep it running so I enlisted the help of Calgary Vending Services.

They placed a machine in my office free of charge and kept is stocked for me. I gladly paid their monthly bill for the products my employees consumed as it helped with productivity and saved me the trip to the store.

As business owners we need to stay on top of productivity wherever we can and having a vending machine in the office is 1 piece of low hanging fruit that I think any company should consider.
