The Royal Ambassador Banquet & Event Centre

Before i start, i put ONE star because i had too to be able do write the review, but for me it was no star at all.
i was there for a wedding. The service couldn't be the worse. The soup was supposed to be portuguese soup, that looked more like mushed potato, (if they don't know how to do it should just say). One option was steak, did i say steak??? yes, that wasn't a steak it looked more like a really small beef, that my little kid will eat. They must had cut the steak in 3. The waffle must be at least a week old, it was so old, it had ice cream, but almost couldn't see it. My glass of wine was removed from me full with wine. Someone on my table asked for a little more champagne (because you couldn't see any on the glass) and the server added a few dropps. That couldn,t only be to laugh, but no, it wasn't she was serious. Really young kids serving, no experience at all. People pays an arm and a leg for this places, for the perfect wedding day, and they just joke around with the day... it was horrible, my worse experience ever. I don't recommend this place at all. Actually, if i was paying the wedding, i would't pay they would have to compensate me for the moral demage, for all the disappointment.
I could be here hours saying more and more, but in my opinion just KEEP AWAY from this place.

Terrible lack of communication and attention to detail. They served the wrong meal at our wedding dinner along with a dozen other errors they made. Beautiful venue, but not worth the cost. If you do go with them make sure to hire a Day of Coordinator- they said they covered these responsibilities, but they didn't do them day of.

Very disappointing

We had the Best Anniversary dinner last night (April 29 2015) at The Consulate, located inside the Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall. A special table was reserved for us near the widow with a view to the water and the beautiful sunset. We enjoyed some sparkling wine and were treated to exceptional service from our server Marco. Everything came out timely and was delicious. The Filet Mignon was made perfectly! They had another party of 25 people there but were still very attentive to our needs. Excellent, Excellent! Definitely recommend this gem and we will return soon to enjoy the outdoor patio and try the Strawberry Tiramisu. Thanks again Marco!

We just got back from our honeymoon and I couldn't wait to write and thank you for all you and your staff did for our wedding. It was an incredible day! The food was impeccable the best I have had at a wedding! The service and staff were truly wonderful!

I attended this venue as a guest to a wedding in September 2008.

Grounds are breathtaking - ceremony was held outdoors under the lakeside gazebo.

Memory is a little fuzzy but from what I remember, the antipasto bar was to die for - lots of variety. The food was generally very good.

The venue is so elegant and beautiful that I am actually considering it for my wedding
