Stan Osobik Solicitor

"Stan was born and raised in Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 2001. He was a lawyer before coming to Canada, with a law degree from Lviv National University. While in Ukraine, Stan was involved in business and corporate work. He is fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian. Stan came to Victoria, B.C. to study law at the University of Victoria (UVIC) in 2005 and he joined the firm in June 2009.

While at UVic, Stan was part of a student team that took part in a world competition between the law schools in the area of commercial arbitration in Hong Kong, 2007/2008. Stan worked with the team on legal research and drafting submissions. The team received the Best Respondent?s Memorandum at IV Annual Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot, 2006/2007.

Mr. Osobik's focus in on general solicitor's work covering wills and estates, mortgages, residential and commercial conveyancing, real estate development, corporate law and various commercial transactions. He is also gaining experience in the areas of commercial and civil litigation.

Stan has interests in business, politics, coaching and playing soccer, and volunteer work."
