Juliannahs

July 2011 - I purchased a dress for my daughters wedding at Juliannahs,no problem until it was paid for. They now had to measure me and order the dress - that's when the problems began (you see, they already had my $$$$, they did not have to be nice anymore). Before the order was placed, the store lost my paper work. When the order was finally placed, they had to put a rush on it and wanted me to pay $40 for this service or I risked not receiving it on time. As the delay was not my fault, I refused to pay and was told that a "special" permission would be needed from management to place the order without the added fee! (The "special" permission was given) Even thought the store clerk took my measurements, they ordered a dress at least 2 sizes too big! Now I need to pay to have it altered (handy business practice for their in house seamstesses!) The house seamtress comes smiling, pins the dress on me and tells me that for $102 she will fix it and will have it ready by the end of July. I return to the store (a 1 hr. drive) on July 29th and as far as I could tell NOTHING had been done to my dress, it is still way too big. The seamtress comes back, smiling a little less now, pins the dress on me again and I must once again drive 1 hour back home only to return the next day, July 30, 2011. This time the seamstress had taken the top of the dress in 2 sizes but left the skirt which is now ballooning because it's 2 sizes wider then the top!!!. The seamstress is now visibly unhappy with ME! and although she agrees there is a problem, she accuses me of wanting added alterations that had not previously been agreed upon! (You do remember that the bottom of the dress is 2 sizes larger then the top!) I decide that I cannot keep driving 1hr back and forth so I sit there and wait while the work needed gets done. After about 1hr of waiting the seamstress brings me the dress and requests ANOTHER $50! What can I say other then INCREDIBLE.

I will NEVER AGAIN set foot in Juliannahs or in Moose Creek Mall (the stores are all family owned). The staff at Juliannahs showed a real lack of work ethic, pride and honesty. All I can say to you is BEWARE and when purchasing a dress, bring your own seamstress with you. I am not a difficult person to dress, I wear a size 6, even thought they had my measurements, they ordered a size 8 and if you can beleive it, they wanted to order me a size 12!!!!
