Great place to work with, honest and reputed company I ever found in Ottawa! I have nothing but good things to say about this business. I have tried out some few companies before finding my home at Ottawa Home Improvements. And I need to say that, as there are many places to choose to do your work, you need to contact them if you want high quality products and certified expert installers for reasonable prices which fits into your budget. Expect nothing but their best service providing team consists of knowledgeable representatives and their awesome teamwork that Ottawa Home Improvement provides! My search is over! Highly Recommended

Thanks

We wanted to give a try on Ottawa Home Improvement to replace the siding on our home as their wood composite siding was the most attractive & durable, after contacting several services around Canada. Their service was very fast and clean as many home improvement services are only working on their profitability. They really know what they do.
When the installation was being done, the workers kept me described of the process the entire time--removal of old siding, setting up of new composite plywood, moisture barrier, insulation & the siding itself. My grandfather was a carpenter. So I know quality work when it is being done & the installers of this company did an excellent job.
Our home really looks great now. Well done team… All you have done is highly recommended.....
Thanks
James

All I can say is Wow! I was told they were the best but now I know they are. I won't deal with anyone else in the future. They are not the cheapest and they are the first to tell you that but they produce a top quality product and the service to match.

I have worked with other firms in the past but this one is by far my favorite. They listened to all my requests and delivered the best service I have ever had in the past. They took extra care to keep the site clean & safe. I could always call the office and talk to a live person. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my family & myself. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I cannot recommend this company.
The salesman Emile told me what they were going to do and the cost. I had several quotes and they match fairly closely.
However, when it came to the contract, many things had changed, most importantly was the dropping of the use of epoxy to seal the crack. I complained, and Emile told me that the a new contract would be given to me to contain Epoxy instead of Hydraulic Cement.
Note the my insistence on Epoxy was because of the 30+ articles I have read about using Concrete Staples and they ALL indicated that Epoxy was the only way to properly secure them.
They showed up … no new contract. I complained again when the fellow indicated they were putting in 2-foot epoxy coated rebar (straight, not in a stable). They then indicated that they were stitching instead of stapling, but stitching means narrow cross-drilled holes filled with Epoxy where they were just putting in vertical (and very wide) troughs.
They didn’t use the rebar strength indicated, the fellow, to comply with my request for stables, just bent the rebar, but apparently the diameter of the curve, and the length of the 2-foot rebar, now down to 14-inches is insufficient structurally.
They only used Hydraulic Cement to fill the holes and the crack. The finer parts of the crack are not sealed.
The parging was poorly done in that it was placed on top of the existing parging. This will result in significant cracking in a year or two.
All-in-all a very poor experience and a waste of over $10k for a job that will have to be done again in about 2 years. I strongly recommend you stay away from this company.

I needed some foundation repair work done. After getting a few quote I decided on OHI even though they were not the cheapest, as I bought into the story of local firm with lots of own staff with experience and expertise. It turned out they sub-contracted the critical foundation repair work to a small company who had never worked with nor heard of OHI before! I worked from home while the foundation work was getting done, and it was a good thing as they were going to just do things their way, not what OHI and I agreed to. Not once during those 2 days did anyone from OHI showed up while the work was getting done by the sub-con.
I don't know if the other crews that showed up for other tasks worked for OHI or not, but generally I was not impressed with what they did. Every day I came home I would find things not done properly. I would phone them, and yes they did come back and do what they were supposed to do in the first place. Sometimes the crew would show up with the wrong tools or no tools. What the contract spelled out, and what their project lead said they would do, and what actually got done were never the same.
From my experience, attention to details and doing it right the first time are definitely not what you can expect from these guys.

I have heard a lot of good reports about this company but now that I have used them to work on my home I had to express my gratitude for choosing them.
There work is meticulous and there communications with us is refreshing. They kept my home cleaned every day and then did a complete cleaning when the job was done.
I will recommend them to anyone who appreciates having he best.
