When you hear Susur Lee and asian fusion you think Clean, Fresh and Vibrant!....Well when you go to Lee, your definitely not going to get that. Other then their trademark slaw, everything was either to spicy or to rich and saucy. Our Screaming server sold us on some sort of $55 menu, but
when we get the bill we end up being over charged and when it's brought to the servers attention his snickering response was oh!? I said it was a minimum...huh? who says they are ok with a minimum charge? so it can be 55 to what 85? on-top of that we got overcharged for drinks we never had, but please if you have a problem with the bill do not talk to the manager....apparently he has no authority to adjust your bill, you would have to wait while he makes a phone call to his boss who apparently isn't there....Yah! thats what I want to do on a special occasion night in which it was. I've been in the industry for 17 years and I have never experienced a place with high regards to have bad food, obnoxious service and pathetic management, I highly recommend you go somewhere else.

I've been here twice and had an excellent time on both occasions. Their signature slaw is pretty crazy. It could be described as excessive (16 different primary ingredients?) but it balances quite well in your mouth. I find that the texture is paramount here...crunchy and soft, etc., and Lee's does a great job. They also really succeed at taking traditional ideas and pulling them into the 21st century.

As a side note, it's nice to see that Susur Lee actually spends a lot of time in his restaurant. Both times that I visited he was dressed in whites and greeting customers in the dining room. He would disappear for a period of time and remerge with a big smile on his face. This excitement and positivity reflects in his staff who were very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu.
