Dropped by on a Saturday night and got lucky with some bar seats, highly recommend making reservations. Pasta dishes ranged from $20s-$30s.
I got the Rigatoni with pork and truffle as the chestnut ragu sounded unique and I’ve never tried it before. The pasta was cooked nicely.
Also enjoyed the fried tripe (be mindful that it is a small portion size)!
I wouldn’t say any of the food was mind blowing but we real appreciated the service. Water was regularly filled and when my sister said that her pasta was spicy for her, they offered to remake it with less spice although they didn’t need to.

Have heard such good things about this spot but it was a let down. The best part of this place is the walk to the restroom. Our seating was rushed, the pasta was salty and the salad fishing (even when we asked to hold the anchovies). The side of rapini was the meals highlight. Won’t be rushing back. But the menu’s are cute!
Enoteca Sociale, located near Dovercourt Road and Dundas Street West in Toronto, offers a dining experience suitable for anniversaries or date nights. The service is impeccable from start to finish, with staff engaging guests about their first visit and suggesting options such as a tasting course menu or staff-recommended dishes. Our server, Francesco, gave wonderful recommendations and the experience throughout the night was spot on.
During our visit, we ordered the Sourdough & Focaccia, Pesce Crudo, Bucatini all’ Amatriciana, Rigatoni, Panna Cotta and Tiramisu, along with beverages Fiori di Limoni and Amarico Sour. Do note, the Amarico Sour was replaced with another base after an ingredient ran out. Our overall impression is that the meals were flavourful and substantial for their value. The sourdough and focaccia was a highlight with the bread being tender and tasty. The Pesce Crudo was a lovely palette cleanser and delicious for the combination of ingredients. The pasta portions appeared modest at first, but the flavours carried through and were very filling by the end of the night. Desserts were generous, with the Tiramisu noted as large enough to serve two. Do note, the restaurant offers substitutions to gluten-free pasta prepared in-house, available at an additional cost which is a nice touch.
The ambiance was fairly cozy and suitable for a special night, with decor that supports a refined dining atmosphere. Staff were noted for their service and attentiveness, including maintaining beverage availability and ensuring an enjoyable experience. Reservations are strongly advised due to high demand. Lastly, restrooms are located downstairs near the front entrance.

There's a reason why they're still doing well after all these years. Very efficient and attentive service, pasta perfect texture not uncooked but also not soggy very intense pepper notes. Fish skin crispy meat moist. Great meal overall
We had a really good time here for our anniversary. Excellent and personable service, great atmosphere (music a little loud). Some suggestions: the arancini need to be reworked. The filling was not seasoned, leaving it all to the tomato sauce to provide flavour. A more classic take with the sauce inside might work better, as well as adding peas. The amatriciana was also lacking in texture. My recommendation is to switch to hard pasta with rougher texture instead of homemade pasta (which would also make it closer to the original recipe). The cacio and pepe was fantastic, and the agnolotti were the star of the show. Sticky toffee pudding excellent too.
Food was amazing but our server was not very friendly. I asked her if their gnocchi is typically served softer than the pastas and she replied with “do you know what a gnocchi is?” Yes I do know, I wouldn’t have ordered it if I didn’t. I simply asked if they’re typically served softer than how other restaurants would, which are chewier.
I know a serving shift can be long, I’m a server too but I hope in the future, they can approach a genuine open-minded question with a bit of compassion and not a condescending tone

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here tonight with my daughter, her boyfriend and a good friend. The four of us were enjoying being reunited following a very recent trip and also celebrating a job promotion. We had so much to catch up on and our server Richard did his job beautifully without interrupting our conversation. Richard took the time to explain the menu options to us and was very patient with our questions. Everything we ordered was delicious and appealed to everyone’s palette. The Arancini, the artichoke app, the radicchio salad and the fresh bread and oil were so good. Our main courses of pasta that we chose and shared were excellent. Our drinks were also tasty. All in all, it was a lovely dinner outside on the patio on a nice fall day. Prices are a bit steep. Location was perfect.
Came here as it was a recommended place to try - the food was great and we were happy to be seated 20 mins before our reservation.
The atmosphere is casual and we loved the open kitchen concept that allowed us to watch our food get prepared. Service overall was good but could improve - we waited a long time to order our dessert that we just ended up not wanting to wait any longer.
We had the sourdough bread with arancini, cacio e Pepe, lemon ricotta agnolotti and the brazino. All were great but the arancini stood out the most and is a must try dish at Enoteca. Cocktails were also great; not sure if we would come back but worth a try for those interested!

4.5 stars. Overall delicious, pasta had a good chew, flavours were decent, and food was served decently quickly. I felt the octopus salad was a bit overpriced.
Really liked the ambiance! Really cozy and intimated, tables are on the smaller end, great for a date night or a group dinner hangout.

Went for the private dining experience. Food was great, dietary restriction (vegetarian) was followed and was presented with great alternatives. Service was friendly and atmosphere was good too. Their flourless chocolate brownie was outstanding. Overall a very pleasant private dining experience as a group.
A long overdue review, had a family dinner here in a group of 6 last year. The food and service were both excellent. Worth noting though is we were told the tiramisu wasn’t “too big” so two people ended up ordering it and it took the whole table chipping it to eat them. They are massive!
It’s a bit out of the way for me but if I’m ever in the area I’d be happy to eat here again and try other dishes.

Charming restaurant. Our second visit in less than a month. First time was somehow better although their pasta is outstanding. Last visit the appetizers were amazing so we reorder the chick pea that is a standout. We reorder rapini but this bunch is rather bitter even with the Parmesan . Sour dough bread is good as are excellent drinks. And the desert of panna cotta filledwith Carmel and hazelnuts superb. My issue was with my cavatelli. The sauce of ricotta, peas and grapes just didn’t hang together for me: no high or low notes, except for a sweet grape here or there! My husband feels similar to me as his pasta sauce on mussels is pretty nondescript. Yet our daughter’s tomato bucatini soars. As mentioned, the pasta quality is incredible. Maybe it was just an off night for sauces.
This restaurant was 10s across the board. Came here for lunch with my mom this afternoon and we left thoroughly pleased, satisfied and impressed.
From Nigel’s warm greeting, to the beautiful interior, to the affordably priced, varied and DELICIOUS lunch menu, to the brilliant cocktails, to the stellar service by Michelle, and Frankie’s elegance…I fell in love with this place.
They are doing everything so so right, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for quality and service.
Thank you!

We had a wonderful time at Enoteca. Our chef's table reservation was well worth it; we were seated directly at the bar with a perfect view of the kitchen. The chef prepared a special menu for us, and everything was exceptional, from the prosciutto (which included lamb, duck, and beef) to the beet salad, the refreshing and tasty octopus dish, and the two pasta courses and main course. It was quite filling. At $100 per person, with the option of wine pairing, it's an ideal date night for couples. The service was also excellent. Reservations for the chef's table require prepayment.
We were here on a couples dinner - after hearing pretty solid reviews - and Enoteca Sociale did not disappoint ! Seating may be cramped for some but we were ok knowing in advance this is a smaller cozy venue. In a nutshell, the food was excellent - pasta was king, and the branzino was perfectly cooked. My only suggestion for the restaurant is to stock some popular branded imported (Italian) beer - the local craft beers did not hit the spot.
I've been to Enoteca three times now, and it would be difficult to find a better dining experience in the city. That starts with the food, which is beyond delicious and very affordable. Bread lovers have to start with the in-house-baked sourdough and focaccia basket, and the Arancini balls melt in your mouth. The three main dishes I've had are some of the best pasta I've ever tasted. My wife and I loved the tiramisu and lemon ricotta cannoli to finish our most recent meal there.
The wine list is unique and I highly recommend the Helles Lager and Mill Race Bohemian Pilsner from The Paris Beer Company.
The entire experience is also something special. The staff, from the greeter at the front door to the servers and other in-house people, are terrific. There's also a wonderful vibe to an intimate space where you have a bird's-eye view of people enjoying an evening of outstanding food and drink. Enoteca gives us an excuse to make the three-hour drive to the city.

My spaghetti cacio and pepe were a bit overcooked and with too much cheese. Tiramisu not the best I had tried. Restaurant is a bit noisy; service with friendly team. Wine list adequate.
What a fantastic experience! The food was amazing but the service really made my night. I sat at a counter where I could observe the kitchen in full swing, it was busy. The staff are professionals, the timing was perfect, I never waited and I was never rushed. I’ll be back again. Thanks to the staff at Enoteca Sociale

Enoteca Sociale is built on passion.
Passion for sharing a culture we fell in love with through the food we eat and the experiences we share. Opened in 2010, Enoteca Sociale has become a mainstay for Italian Cuisine in the Toronto, built on the philosophy of making simple & honest Roman cuisine that can be shared with friends and family.
Through the years, Enoteca Sociale has evolved to offer a wider food offering comprised of traditional Roman dishes like Cacio e Pepe, l’Amatriciana and Carbonara. With Chef Kyle Rindinella at the helm the menu takes inspiration directly from Rome, remaining as true to the traditional culinary practices as possible. The Italian-focused wine list includes varietals that are rarely available elsewhere in Ontario and represent the entire country of Italy.
