Lin Martial Arts is a place where I have met the most friendly and unique individuals. Their culture revolves around the cultivation and rapid progress of new and less experienced individuals. Their coaching staff is very open, friendly and absolutely obsessed with developing precise technique in their students. Their gym is really clean and doesn't smell like the typical feet and tiger balm gyms. I especially like the afternoon classes where the vibe is pretty relaxed and the music gets you in the mode for training. There's also no awkward division of female practitioners, as they seem to be quite comfortable working with the guys. All being said, I learned so much in a short amount of time and am always excited to train with the coaches who make their classes so much fun and engaging.

Lin Martial Arts has made a positive impact on my husband's emotional, physical and psychological wellbeing. I can see a noticeable difference. He is much more physically stronger, calmer and have even lost weight in the relatively short space of time. More importantly he loves his classes and coaches very much. He constantly speaks highly about them and is very motivated to attend his classes; even on the coldest days he takes 2 buses to get there! I am very happy that he is a student and a part of Lin Martial Arts and that he is committed. Lin Martial Arts please continue with your school of excellence in helping the lives of persons like my husband. You have done an amazing job and I am very pleased!

Good gyms are difficult to come by. That’s why when I went to Lin Martial Arts, I was pleasantly surprised. They have huge mat space, extremely clean, 3 matted training rooms. The change rooms, showers, weight rooms – everything is so clean. I’m a neatness freak and this really gave me a good vibe. Love it…

Losing weight is never easy. I know! For over 5 years, I’ve been struggling to lose weight and tried practically every diet out there. I also tried all the fitness clubs possible and was so bored with same old circuit/cardio routine. A colleague of mine suggested mixed martial arts. This had never crossed my mind, I mean I knew nothing of mixed martial arts, how would I manage? I stopped by Lin’s Martial Arts to check them out. The place seemed nice, inviting. However being that I never did anything in martial arts I was a little apprehensive. After I tried my first few classes in BJJ and Muay Thai, I enjoyed these classes sooooo much. They were exciting, challenging – yes, my body ached as hell, but it was worth it and I had so much of fun. The great thing was I wasn’t even focusing on my weight any more – and guess what I started losing so much of it. I became a believer! If you have any doubts about Mixed martial arts, I urge you not to. Try it out. Lin Martial Arts is fabulous. I definitely recommend them highly!

If you have a passion for bjj and you want to learn the nitty gritty details of techniques this is the place. Head instructor teaches the same technique for about a month at a time b/c he believes repetition leads to the finest technique which is true.

On the flipside b/c of the constant repetition, classes are extremely boring and mundane. I've been there a couple months now and there is no cardio or intense training other than sparring. There is no real energy, culture, or character to the club.

If you want to learn the details/techniques of BJJ inside and out this is the place. If you want a fun, energetic and dynamic gym this may not be what you're looking for.

I highly recommend Lin Martial Arts! I began training at another gym and felt I had to take my training to the next level. After trying out a few reputable gyms in the area it was obvious to me that Lin Martial Arts was head and shoulders above the other gyms. The students were all very skilled and technical, and they welcomed me with open arms. Since then the gym has moved to a bigger and better facility and the gym continues to grow and get better each day. Anyone out there interested in training should definitely come by and try it out.

The best thing about Lin's is that no matter what level you are, white belt or black, beginner or experienced, Lin's will teach you the proper way! All the coaches take you through step by step, because if anyone who has ever taken BJJ knows, every little step and technique can make difference from being successful to failing!
Great job Lin's, keep up the good work!
