I chose ANE as well because of the glowing reviews, and drove across town to bring my coin collection to ANE, vs. other coin collectors who were just around the corner from where I live. I was pleasantly surprised about the value of some of my coins, and Sveto explained the reasons why some coins were worth more than others. I felt that I had received good value for my coin collection, unexpected but much appreciated.

I recently brought my fairly extensive coin collection (that had been gathering dust in the basement) to ANE. I had many Canadian and foreign coins that I was hoping to sell. I met with Svetolik at his shop. I had done some preliminary research before I went to see Sveto to get some sense for how much my coins might be worth. Svetolik was very friendly, honest, knowledgeable and professional. He valued my coins at or above the prices I had come up with myself. He issued a cheque for my collection on the spot. All my dealings with Sveto on the phone and in person were very pleasant. I agree with all other 5-star ratings! He is amazing. Even while I was at his shop another customer was singing his praises. No matter where you are in the GTA it's worth the drive to ANE. Thank you Sveto!

I had inherited an extensive coin and bill collection and made the hard decision to sell it. I researched for the best place to sell my collection and consistently ANE came up with incredible testimonials which I am adding to today! Sveto exceeded my expectations. He recognized the work I had done to catalog and inventory the collection I brought to him, and his valuations matched what I had researched. The few times his valuations were less he clearly explained why, but more importantly, he occasionally identified a gem that I (as a novice) had missed and he gave me fair value for them as well. I've had a random collection of coins collecting dust for awhile and decided I wanted to learn more about them and see if any were of value! In doing some online searching I came across ANE and read positive reviews about others experiences. My first contact with ANE was through email of which a response was returned within 15 minutes by the owner Sveto as well as a follow-up phone call - I was impressed. In going to the store Sveto took the time to go through all the coins with me and was transparent in what coins had value and which ones did not. With the most valuable coin that I had he showed me the coin book that grades and provides values and had an honest conversation about the condition of the coin and what price he could give me. As someone with little to no coin knowledge I felt that Sveto was being honest and fair in his appraisal and at no time did I feel pressured to sell my coins. In the end I did sell them and look forward to doing more business with ANE should I discover more coin treasures!

I was not too pleased with the tardiness of Amazon books at the Canadian website regarding my purchases. They were out of stock on my books and it seemed I was waiting a bit too long, so I decided to check the internet for David Sear's 'Roman Coins and their values.' Volume V alone was trending at OVER $212 PLUS shipping in Canada! I thought that was outrageous considering the U.S. price at the time was about $75 plus shipping. The only problem was that the lower priced book sellers did not ship to Canada. Those that did, had much higher rates...high shipping...and OVER 30% U.S./Can. exchange rate. I could not win, UNTIL I came across ANE. What a delight when I asked Sveto how much could he sell me Vol. 2 & 3 of David Sears Roman Coins? I was so pleased with the purchase rate, PLUS a further discount on the 2 books, PLUS FREE SHIPPING, that I immediately went online at Amazon and cancelled my order for Vol. 4 & 5! I immediately called Sveto back & ordered them as well. What impressed me also was that he dealt directly with a friend of his to deliver the books to me in person! I lived almost three hours away! I never had such personalised service and this was the very FIRST time I ever dealt with Sveto.

Sveto? I thank you for your kindness and generosity from the bottom of my heart. It has been A LONG TIME since anyone has gone "the extra mile" for me just like the Bible encourages believers to do. I had a large family collection of coins and paper currency, and misc. gold items I was looking to sell. It took quite some time to organize the currency and research an idea of what it may all be worth, because I had no knowledge of the value. I approached many places, and Sveto replied very quickly explaining it would take some time to get a value, but he would get back to me the next day with a value. I appreciated Sveto’s quick reply to let me know he would work on a value for me. I liked Sveto’s approach right off, letting me know he was working on it and not leaving me hanging and wondering if he was interested or not. Sveto was very patient will all my emails, he always responded and was very friendly and informative. He understood the hesitation of someone attempting to sell something they really do not have a great understanding of. I emailed several places. In the end, a few were lower, but the top offers were in the same ball park. But only Sveto had that understanding, patient and no pressure at all approach, he let you know he was interested but no hard sell.
I ended up selling to Sveto, and after meeting Sveto and his wife at his store in Toronto, I would not hesitate to recommend dealing with Sveto at ANE. I feel confident I received a fair price for my items and do NOT have any nagging feeling I made a mistake. I have no more coins, but if I’m ever selling more gold in the future, I won’t have to shop around or do all that research, I’ll just go straight to ANE, because I know I will get a fair price.

As a visitor to Canada who had come with a stack of old coins my parents had kept from previous visits and which I wasn't sure if I could still spend or not, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were worth a bit more than face value. As the only Toronto coin business with decent reviews on the internet, I made an appointment to see Sveto and the experience couldn't have been better. When you walk into any kind of dealer with zero knowledge of what you have, the potential to be ripped off is huge. I'm pleased to say this wasn't the case at ANE - I was offered an excellent price compared to the face value of the coins (I knew I wouldn't be offered their full worth, but hey, people are allowed to run a business and make a profit!), and we had a nice time chatting. 100% recommended :)

Outstanding knowledge of ancient and mediaeval coins, and a wonderful selection of both coins and numismatic literature. A specialist dealer in the ancient field, there is some occasional more modern material here. Hours are a bit erratic (mostly evenings), and I find that I encounter ANE more at shows than at the storefront location out in The Beach. Prices are competitive, grading of coins is excellent.

I was very impressed with the service I received in August of 2011 when I worked with Svetolik. Not only were his prices on my old silver coins and bills the highest amongst his competitors, but at the end of the whole thing he even gave me a lift to the Subway!
I was impressed with his deep knowledge of anceint coins and I was more impressed with his gentlemanly manner.

Sveto's ANE is great. After getting numerous quotes from coin dealers throughout Toronto and Belleville, Sveto gave me the best price for my old coins and bills. Unlike most coin dealers I had met throughout this quotation process, Sveto was polite, courteous, patient and friendly. These traits don't appear to be too common in the numismatric coin industry, to say the least.
All in all, I got a great price and great service. Far beyond what you can expect at other coin shops. Visit Sveto, disregard the others.
