Amazing place for your loving puppy

This place is immaculately run. Safe and professional. Their grooming is impeccable. Been taking my rescue dogs there for many years. They are always handled with care, love and understanding, as my dogs are anxious. I've never worried about them while in the care of HLF and I'm always thrilled with the grooming result.

Definitely not a warm fuzzy place. Owner snaps at you if you ask anything. I was actually scared to leave my fur baby there. At pickup she tells me she couldn't trim my dog nails and I'd have to hold him down if I wanted them trimmed. Unbelievable. And they charge about $25 more than other groomers. I will never return.

so i called this place to ask to have my dog groomed and as soon as i asked for the experience of the groomer and who would be looking after my dog she said no i can not groom your dog here its too aggressive. she asked if my dog would bite i said yes shes a more of a fearful biter, she will most likely run away before she bites. my dog is like the size of a yorkie 4 kgs and the OWNER is telling me that if my dog bites her groomer it will put her groomer out for 2 weeks. she said "we do not deal with difficult dogs here". is this not something normal dog groomers deal with everyday? i have never been turned down by a dog groomer before. i find this very sad and it got me thinking why are you in business if you can not handle a small dog? the owner called me right back and begged me over the phone not to write a review and i said well i'm i have a right to express my opinion. so glad i did not go here seems like a dodged a bullet, this just does not make sense and gives me bad vibes.

Best grooming that my Yorkie has ever received. Always get lots of compliments on her cut and I direct everyone to these groomers.

Owners suggested I try putting my dog into daycare. I was hesitant as my dog did not enjoy other daycares we have put her in but I gave it a try and I'm so happy I did. My dog loves the daycare and everytime we drop her off she can't wait to get inside. It's a complete turnaround! Owners are lovely to deal with.

Highly recommend both grooming and daycare (from an incredibly picky dog owner!).

I received a gift certificate from this place. It had no expiry date, no phone number or address.
When I went I was frustrated because I couldn't find the place. (I called a couple of days before I went and the lady was snotty on and condescending on the phone.) The same lady I talked to on the phone a couple days before told me to come to the side door. The side door was locked, so I went around front. I had already got lost, told to go to the locked door, and when I got to the self serve area where I was to bath my dog it was so high I wouldn't be able to get my dog up there. I had been to a self serve place in the past and it was about half that high. I just had surgery and I wasn't supposed to lift more than 35lbs but I thought I would anyways because the bath area would be low, so it would be OK. So I was trying to lift my dog, and the snotty lady (owner) told me she couldn't lift the dog because she had a bad back etc,,,but she did it anyways, threw the dog in the tub and said condescendingly "that's how you lift a dog!!"
Then she proceeded to tell me that the gift certificate is expired because it is "almost a year old". My sister bought it for me in November and it was now September. AND there is no expiry date on the certificate!
So she went on and on and I told her to shut up (I was bad) and she told me to get out of her shop. I said I was bathing my dog. She let me bath my dog but she wouldn't honour the rest of the gift certificate to have the toenails cut and the ears cleaned!

I took my baby there to get groomed and they did a fantastic job!! It was pretty fast too which is always great. I wish I could post a pic on here to show how awesome he looks. It was exactly what I wanted.

Have taken my dog to these ladies both here and at their previous business. My dog is older and shakes when I take him to other daycares. The ladies who run Hounds LIke Fun are true dog lovers and very knowledgeable about dogs. They do not tolerate dogs that bite or are aggressive to other dogs and will kick dogs out who are a danger to other dogs. They would rather lose business than let any dogs get tormented.

I do not trust many people with my fur baby - but totally trust the care he gets at Hounds LIke Fun. I highly recommend them. (I drive 35 minutes to take my dog here)

I inherited a dog from a terminally ill family member. The poor dog had lots of mats in her hair. The Vet was going to take care of it while having her fixed, but they ran out of time. So, I took her to Hounds Like Fun. Had the hubby call ahead and explained the dog was matted and we needed some help. They said sure, and made an appointment.

When I walked in the door, the lady behind the counter became abusive to me almost immediately. She practically yelled at me, telling me she doesn't take dogs "in that condition." She then yelled that she would give the dog a shave this one time, but if I ever brought her in matted again, she would refuse to cut it. I was taken aback and confused, because the hubby had called ahead and let them know about the matting. This very rude lady then demanded to know why my dog was so "lethargic" (her raised voice was scaring the dog). The staff were all looking at me like I was a dog abuser. The ladies attitude improved a bit after some explanation, and I left the dog with her to be shaved.

When I picked the dog up later, the lady's attitude had done a complete turn-around. She talked about how sweet my dog was (apparently she was done making blind accusations).

The shave/haircut was very well done. Absolutely no burn marks at all. I wish I could take the dog back to Hounds Like Fun, but I can't tolerate abuse to any living thing...including to myself.

I called to make an appt for my two dogs but was told that I could not drop them off before 9am if they were barkers. They are dogs! Of course there is a chance they will bark in a new unfamiliar environment. What a terrible policy for a place that grooms dogs!

my two puppies love going to daycare at hounds like fun. They come home happy, tired and eager to go back again. Which makes mom really happy. Thanks hounds like fun.
