Northern Lakes Marine - Boat & Sea Doo Rentals

recently bought a merc 9.9 outboard motor from northern lakes marine. met with a employee named shawn who told me that it was his personal motor and that he was the original owner from new. motor turned out to be stolen from the rama area and was turned over to police. went back to northern lakes marine looking for shawn and my cash. was told that he was out on a service call. talked to the owner RYAN MACK, he told me that he had just bought the motor cheap from some guy that came in saying he was hard up for cash. he then asked shawn to post it on kijiji and resell it for him. said he didn't know why shawn made up the story and didn't seem to care. told me that you take your chances when buying any used motor that it might be stolen. claimed that hes' just as much a victim as me and owes me nothing. also felt that if I wanted a refund that I should have returned the motor to him, rather than turned it over to the police to be returned to the rightfull ovner. I would not recommend dealing with them to anyone, dishonest owner and employees. anybody want this business sending employees like shawn to their home? lots of other options out there.

We have been a customer of NLM for over 4 years, renting jet skis, jet boats and bowriders for our cottage on a weekly basis. The very few times we called with questions or for service, they responded right away. The rates are very competitive & the service is excellent. We look forward to continuing to rent from NLM and would have no trouble recommending them to our friends and family!
