My little 15 yr old, 4 lb dog has had a longstanding problem with his right eye. Many different treatments were unsuccessful. Dr Mitelman has always been supportive, kind and patient. He gave me all the time I needed and was always available to reassure me that we were doing everything possible to preserve his vision, yet be conservative in the treatment. This was what we wanted to do - keep his vision intact as long as possible given there was no pain. The eye did finally need to be removed and it was dealt with quickly when it was needed to be. Surgery went beautifully and my little dog is doing great. I wish to thank Dr Mitelman for his support over the past few rough years. I thank him for his expertise, understanding, compassion and wonderful thorough care. I could not have done this without a great vet whom I felt I could go to without any hesitation nor judgment. My little boy is very special to me and I feel he was treated that way! Looks like I will have him with me hopefully for years yet to come.
