Ronald McDonald House BC is a loving home-away-from-home for children who require treatment at BC Children’s Hospital. A child’s treatment can last several months or even years, which causes both financial and emotional strain for families who live outside the Lower Mainland. Ronald McDonald House BC works to support these families in their time of need.
At the House, seriously ill children and their families can stay together and enjoy the comforts of home in an environment that encourages laughter and play. We work to ensure that each child experiences the joy of childhood even while fighting a serious illness, and we rely on community support to serve up to 400 families a year.
