This is the worst hall in terms of customer service. Aman knows absolutley nothing in terms of how to run a business. The hall owner is greedy for money. They wont postpone or cancel events due to COVID-19 restrictions. Very unclear about what the plans are and if our event will happen or not.I will never recomened this venue to anyone. I thoiught they were professionals and cared for there business imagae but they dont. All they care about is money, and when I asked what if someone gets the virus at my event Aman said "thats not my problem, if you dont do your event we lose money". Shame on you guys. All these positive reviews that go up everyday are all fake. Its friends and family who post positive reviews, go on Eventsource or Yelp to see all the real reviews from customers. Also forgot to mention, they dont allow outside entertainment, everyghing has to be booked with in house providers. They wont tell you that either. MONEY HUNGRY SCAMMERS.

I had one of the worst experience of my life with the Banquet hall staff and the DJ. The whole thing is a Scam. They promise you a whole lot and when its time to deliver they will back off.
Had the bridal room and we were moved like 3 times to 3 different rooms and then we're told you can use the DJ office that smells like curry and one of the workers had done food tasting 10 min prior to giving us that hot shit hole.

Let me start with BALJIT OF ELEGANCE SOUND is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, HORRIBLE ATTITUDE, DISRESPECTFUL to the extent that makes you wonder how Versailles has partnered up with them and put them in charge of the system. The man has 0 manners, i dont know if he was raised on the streets or if he has ever gone to school.

They start scamming you with a whole lot of shit, for example, DJ.....you are stuck with them since you can bring your own DJ they will ask for 2 mil liability and other bullshit stuff so you end up hiring them. DJ prince the shittiest DJ on the planet. after providing his dumb ass the song list he had to fuck up and was on his fucking phone the entire time. We paid for cove lighting there was no one to operate. the big chandlers were turned off we had to run around to have the management turn it on. we were charged for someone to operate the lighting no one was there.

They don't care about People or their event the moment they get their money. I am not venting here on google just want others to read these reviews before even considering doing their event here.

1. Called in house (elegance sound) 5-6 times a week before the event and got no follow up. PS: Empire Entertainment contacted us a month before wanting to make sure our event was prepared for and everything was in order. Elegance didn't care.
2.Finally got a meeting before the event day - owner showed up 40 minutes late.
3. Was promised a better DJ, not their $400 than was given another similar crappy DJ that was used at our Sister in laws wedding (BTW - the DJ got up and left before the dance floor even opened at her wedding) that why they "promised" a better DJ.
4.Was given an equally crappy DJ on the day of the wedding, they went back on their word, DJ did a HORRIBLE job.
5. Promised confetti for our event if told within a certain time frame which we did, no confetti at the wedding was provided because they couldn't get a hold of it.

Need I add more? Make sure you go to a an entertainment company that actually cares about your event and doesn't make false promises.

PS: Versailles is a great hall but don't get sucked into the in house sound. You are better off getting it done from the outside. It would probably be cheaper anyway. They charge an arm and a leg for garbage.

Stay away from this hall. My neice's wedding reception was held here in summer 2017. Below is a list of some of the issues encountered:

-Running out of food in buffet, guests lined up and food kept running out
-Dinner plates kept running out
-Bartenders were unqualified and a couple of them appeared drunk, broke many glasses, etc.
-Bar ran out of beer and glasses
-Video screens did not work, which was quite embarrassing for the hosts
-Many tables with no water
-Dirty plates after appetizers were not removed for a couple of hours
-The parking lot was under renovation so parking was limited, even though the contract stipulated that the renovations would be done
-There was garbage and debris piled up on the side of the hall, right where guests have to walk by to get to their cars

We tried to call the owner because he was nowhere to be found. He kept hanging up and saying he would call back but he would not call back.

Please read reviews on other sites. Many reviews state the same stuff I am having here. Don't ruin your big day! Buyer beware.

I have organized my wife’s surprise Birthday party on December 2nd, 2016 in this venue. The setting, the decorations, the food were all fabulous! We would like to thank all the staff for making my wife’s Birthday event so special and perfect! Everyone had a great time. Everything turned out perfect! We are so grateful for your professionalism. The food and service were wonderful. I also wanted to let you know your staff-the servers were excellent-so attentive and kind-throughout the whole night.
Finally, I really appreciate the manager Ramesh worked with us throughout the planning process, Ramesh you're wonderful person and a pleasure to work with. Definitely not less than 5 star rating for “Versailles Convention Centre”.

Hi Maryanne, I just wanted to thank both you and your wonderful staff for making my recent Wedding event in April truly perfect! It was everything we had imagined and envisioned. I'm in the process of preparing thank you cards, but please let the staff know how grateful we are. It was a magical day for us and you and everyone were so attentive and caring. My guests are still raving about the night. I was nervous when we first arrived as I'm sure all brides are, however the incredible service and staff put my worries to rest. I was made to feel relaxed and I'm still overwhelmed by the amount of family and friends who told us we picked the best venue for our special day! Thank you again! You're absolutely amazing!!

If I had the option to give negative stars for this venue, I would do so in a heartbeat. My wife and I hosted our wedding reception at Versailles last September. Just the shear lack of professionalism and care for their clients is baffling. This place will nickel and dime you at every chance they get.

First and foremost, during the initial meetings with Ramesh and up to the day when we gave the deposit, they will paint a pretty picture for you and explain all they have to offer. Once the deposit was given and even after the remaining balance was handed to them, they never followed up with us on the reception plans and how everything will pan out. We had to get in contact with them MULTIPLE times before getting a hold of someone (Via Email and Phone).

On the day of the reception, while we were out on the post-wedding photoshoot, the MC gave us a call to let us know that Versailles weren't going to let them use the hall sound system as it would cost an additional fee. They would not allow them unless someone coughed up money the DAY OF the reception and they apparently could not compromise with us as the system is run by a 3RD PARTY. What utter nonsense. This information was NEVER communicated to us by Versailles. So in the end my Brother-In-Law had to RUSH to the bank and withdraw an absurd amount of money so that we could have proper sound during the event.

My wife had put together a thorough and well detailed table arrangement plan. This plan was communicated with Versailles multiple times and even confirmed with the management staff. Keep in mind we arranged the seats so certain family members could sit close together. On the day of the reception, the table arrangement was all messed up. Family members sitting on opposite sides of the hall, table numbers not arrange based on our plan. In addition, all of the table center pieces had candles which were NOT LIT and we had to tell them to light it in the middle of the reception. UNBELIEVEABLE.

To put the icing on cake, during the reception the management staff physically came up to our TABLE while we were greeting guests and they wanted us to sign papers because of a MISTAKE they made in their paperwork. They also came up to my Mother-In-Law. Not just once but MULTIPLE times. Can you imagine how embarrassing this must be? In addition, they had some random guy come up to us and he claimed to be the owner. We already met the owners before so this was a complete LIE just to get us to sign papers right then and there.

Whoever is reading this post, please take it seriously and think long and hard before choosing Versailles as your venue for your special occasion. There seems to be mixed reviews on this page but all the negative ones are consistent with the experience we had. The only positive remark I will make about this place is the food. Other than that, this place is a COMPLETE CLOWN SHOW.

While the decor is nice for this facility, I would never go back based on the Management and the service that is provided.

I was designated to help with the set-up for my cousin's wedding. By set-up I mean setting up the centerpieces and ensuring that everything she had agreed with the Hall was fulfilled.

Prior to the wedding day, the Bride was promised that the hall would be ready for 1pm for us to set-up. But when the final payment was made and the itinerary was reviewed, Maryanne mentioned that the hall wouldn't be ready until 4pm. That meant there was only an hour to set-up all the centerpieces, table numbers, etc...

Regardless of what Maryanne said, the Bride's cousins and I arrived onsite at 1pm to at least set-up the centerpieces in the lobby. When we arrived, the hall doors were opened so we went in to check what was going on. The room was HOT and smelled like VOMIT. When we asked Maryanne about the temperature and the smell, she responded with the following, "I already set the temperate to 19" and I pointed out that the thermostat said 23. She immediately attempted to lower it. In response to the smell, she said, "oh you are just smelling our air fresheners located by the doors." Needless to say, when the guests arrive, everyone noticed the smell and the room being hot. We are not sure where the smells came from, whether it was the chairs, table clothes, or napkins.

As we were setting up the centerpieces, we noticed that a few tablecloths had 2 inch rips in them and others had yellow crusty stains on them (like vomit). We brought this to Maryanne's attention and she simply brushed it off saying, "We don't have additional tablecloths, that's the way it is". We only booked 2 of the 4 rooms, so to say that they don't have enough tablecloths is just a cop out. She try to put the napkins on top of the stains and rips so people wouldn't see but that did not work.

As we were finished with setting up all the centerpieces, we had lots of cardboard boxes that needed to be discarded. We asked a gentleman that was helping the hall set-up and he kindly helped up bring the boxes to the garbage room. When Maryanne saw us she immediately asked us what we were doing and that she has no room in her garbage. I confronted her and asked if this meant she had no more room in her garbage for tonight's event. She just walked away.

As we were doing a final check of everything, this odd man walked into the room and was wondering around. We kindly asked him if he needed any help. He scuffed at us and said, "I'm the owner, I run this place" and walked away.

The wedding was absolutely lovely given the circumstances but the service again was terrible. Make sure you check the glasses before the server or bartender pours the drinks. So glasses were cloudy and others had lipstick stains all over it. We had to send a few glasses back.

Also, the bar only was serving standard alcohol and the Groom had to pull out the contract to show that he paid for Premium.

At one point, even the Father of the Bride got involved as food for the buffet wasn't being replenished fast enough. The lady that was managing it was just standing there and chatting away.

As for the dessert table, do not eat the ice cream! They pulled out tubs that were half full and you could see they were all melted from an event prior and re-frozen. They didn't have a freezer to keep it cold so it ended up melting within the next hour or so.

Overall, I would never recommend this hall. Save yourself the hassle and go with other more reputable halls. I've officially blacklisted this place and informed other wedding planners as well.

What a disaster :) Paid so much for the wedding and BIG disappointment. When guests entered the lobby, there was no one from the management to guide and the servers were totally lost themselves. People were not sure if it was just one wedding or was there another wedding...total chaos.
The snacks in the lobby were not enough, the samosa size was like you could pick with a toothpick and eat. So was that appetizers ? or was that just hor dourves ? obviously not hor dourves bcoz they were not passed around. The mango lassi was all watery no taste to it at all. Then came the lunch time and no body from the hall cared to look after the bride and groom. The food finished in the buffet and the refills took so long that people didnt bother to stand and wait. The servers were working like they have no energy and the captain was the most rude person I have ever come across. Strangely when we signed, so many promises were given but there was no management present to fulfill them.
WATCH OUT guys and dont make a mistake by booking this hall and making your wedding a disaster. Aaron

I recently had my Wedding reception at Versailles Convention Centre (VCC) and it was a pleasant experience. ( Oct 18th, 2014)

The manager Maryann helped us initially with our bookings and was extremely polite during the viewings and food tasting. She was very sweet and helped us with the contract and gave us a good discount. I must warn you she is impossible to get a hold off via emails or phone calls. A month before our event she was nowhere to be seen or heard from. After visiting the facility we found out from the other manager Ramesh that she was on vacation. Ramesh however ensured that we had absolutely no hiccups leading up to the event and during the reception. He was very extremely nice and reassuring to talk too.

Special mention to the Chef, He prepared a brilliant buffet and our guests were really happy with the quality of the food. He was more than happy to alter the menu to our liking. The serving staff was polite and very quick .

We used their In-house decorator, Diamond Decor, and the manager Gurpinder was absolutely fantastic to work. He spent 3 -4 hours in different sittings to finalize the look for our stage and decorations. We were late for a couple of meeting's but he was very patient. They do charge on the higher side but the quality of service is topnotch and you will not be disappointed. They have an array of stage settings and he is helpful in all regards. Our families reached the hall at 6pm and the place was set up without any glitches.

The lights , style and theme is very elegant and stylish. The sounds system is good . Entrance and washrooms were well decorated and clean at all times. Even though our guests stayed late we were not rushed to leave but very politely told that its getting late. Hats off to ramesh & staff for doing a great job .

Now for the CONS:

First and foremost the bartenders were an absolute sham. They cost us $200 , untrained , spoke bad English and did not know how to mix drinks at ALL. They made extremely strong drinks and we received complains from each and every guest. As a result of which the alcohol ran out way earlier than anticipated. It was obvious that they did not want to stay for too long as they disappeared as soon as the alcohol was over.

A BIG WARNING IF YOU PLAN TO HIRE THEIR IN HOUSE DJ OR ANY OF THEIR SERVICES.
BALJITH OF ELEGANCE SOUND is a disgrace to work with . Thoroughly unprofessional , bad attitude , disrespectful to the extent that makes you wonder how Versailles has kept them in charge of their in house system . it took him 2 months, 4 emails and multiple call to send me quote for the event . His quote was $3600 for a 6 hour reception. I sent a reply asking for a breakdown after which I never heard from him.

After asking around I could only get negative reviews for ELEGANCE SOUND and BALJITH in particular. In fact a few companies refused to take on a contract because of ELEGANCE SOUND, BALJITH and they work ethic. We finally got a company from outside for these service but made the biggest mistake of getting the projectors from ELEGANCE & BALJITH . It costs us $537 for the projector and screen, we had to chase down people to get it ready. This is not what you need to be doing 15 minutes before the program is starting when the hall is full of guests. Worst case IT DIDN'T EVEN WORK . BALJITH was nowhere to be seen and did not care even the slightest bit that we got embarrassed . THIS COMPANY IS A SHAM AND WILL TREAT YOU WITH OUT RESPECT. There are way better professional companies like DJizM entertainment. You might as well look outside to save money and peace of mind .
ELEGANCE SOUND AND BALJITH IS A MUST AVOID

I was a guest for Nechelle and Jiran's wedding and the manager Mary Anne was very pleasent and professional-she went above and beyond. The Italian food was delicious, and the sweet table and fish buffet presentation was amazing. Incredible atmosphere and the hall was beautiful. I would recommend Versailles. Keep up the good job Mary Anee.
